SICK LEAVE   ABSENTEEISM. The parties to this Agreement recognise that the continued viability of AMEC Services Pty Ltd’s operations is dependent on workforce and management commitment to the organisation. All employees will therefore, where possible, reduce absent/sick days taken.

SICK LEAVE   ABSENTEEISM. The parties acknowledge: Part An employee who is scheduled to work has an obligation to attend work. A personal illness, or disability, or injury, which prevents attendance at work is a legitimate reason for absence work. In such circumstances, the Employee is entitled to claim indemnification for lost wages, to the extent of, and in accordance with, the provisions of the Collective Agreement. In any other circumstances, a claim that personal illness, or disability, or injury, prevents attendance at work, whether accompanied by a claim for indemnification, is unacceptable. Such a claim may create cause for discipline or discharge. Such discipline or discharge may be subject to the grievance and arbitration provisions of this Collective Agreement. Part Certain conditions are disabilities within the meaning of the Ontario Human Rights Code. There is a duty on the parties to accommodate disabilities. There is an obligation on employees without disabilities to assist and support disabled employees.

  • Excessive absenteeism The parties recognize that every employee has a duty to be reliably present at work, and that failure to confine sick leave usage to accrued and available sick leave raises the possibility of discipline for excessive absenteeism. Such cases, however, are subject to just cause review and require systematic examination of relevant factors, including but not limited to:

  • Excused Absences Absences will be excused only under the following circumstances.

  • SICK LEAVE OF ABSENCE 25.01 Employees, who are permitted to go home due to non- occupational illness or injury, will not be paid for the remainder of their shift.

  • Leaves and Absences A. 1) Ten (10) days of sick leave shall be credited annually to each teacher in accordance with Section 1154A of the School Code. The total unused portion of the annual sick leave allowance shall be permitted to accumulate indefinitely. Xxxx leave accumulated prior to a leave of absence shall be credited to the teacher upon return from the leave.

  • Extended Absences In the event Tenant will be away from the Premises for more than 7 consecutive days, Tenant agrees to notify Landlord in writing of such absence. During such absence, Landlord may enter the premises at times reasonable necessary to maintain the property and inspect for damages and needed repairs.

  • Absenteeism No employee may absent himself from his work during the hours in which the establishment is open without the express permission of his employer except on account of illness and/or injuries or for causes beyond the control of such employee. An employee shall, within 24 hours of his failure to report for work, cause his employer to be notified thereof in the most expeditious manner available.

  • Reporting Absences (a) Employees are responsible to report to work on time on each scheduled work day.
