Sick Leave Service Credit. Section 20965. This benefit provides that unused accumulated sick leave at time of retirement may be converted to additional service credit at the rate of 0.004 year of service credit for each day of unused sick leave in accordance with the PERS formula.

Sick Leave Service Credit. The City will have an actuarial study conducted by PERS for Sick Leave Service Credit for both sworn and civilian positions. If the results of the study are .02% of salary or less for either the sworn or the civilian positions, then the City will implement the PERS plan modification by no later than 7/1/01. If the results of the actuarial study are .021% or more the City and the Association will meet and confer to ascertain if employee members, as a group, will pay the costs above .02%.

  • Sick Leave Credit All employees shall be able to draw on a block of seven days' sick leave when they commence employment. If all or part of this block of sick leave is used, it will be paid back as sick leave is accumulated. If an employee ceases employment and has a negative balance in sick leave credit, this amount will be deducted from her final paycheque.

  • Sick Leave Pay A Nurse granted sick leave shall be paid for the period of such leave at her or his regular hourly rate of pay and the number of hours thus paid shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave credits of the Nurse.

  • Sick Leave Abuse ‌ When the Employer suspects sick leave abuse, the employee will be provided the opportunity to explain the circumstances surrounding their sick leave use prior to disciplining the employee, or making reference to sick leave use in the employee’s performance evaluation. The Employer may not adopt or enforce any policy that counts the use of paid sick leave time as an absence that may lead to or result in disciplinary action for an authorized purpose. The Employer may not discriminate or retaliate against an employee for the use of paid sick leave for an authorized purpose.

  • Sick Leave Payout Employees who retire on pension or who voluntarily terminate their employment with the Employer, or who are permanently laid off from their employment with the Employer, shall upon termination or retirement be paid any sick leave accumulation they may have to their credit, to a maximum of one hundred and twenty (120) hours credit.

  • Sick Leave Credits Regular employees who have completed their probationary period will accrue sick leave credits at the rate of one day per month to a maximum of 156 days. Upon completion of their probationary period, an employee will be credited with sick leave back to the employee's starting date. Upon request, an employee will be advised in writing of the balance of their sick leave credits.

  • Sick Leave Days Subject to paragraphs d) i-vi below, permanent full-time Teachers will be allocated eleven (11) sick days at one hundred percent (100%) salary in each school year. Teachers who are less than full-time shall have their sick leave allocation pro-rated.

  • Sick Leave Payoff Employee with accrued, unused sick leave may, at the time of separation, select one of the following options for reimbursement:

  • Sick Leave Donation In accord with state law and Medical Center policy, RN’s may donate sick leave to any employee entitled to receive such donations.

  • Sick Leave Incentive Effective September 1, 1986, employees covered by this Agreement, hired on or after October 1, 1977, who are not entitled to disability leave under State Statute R.C.W. 41.26, shall be eligible for the following sick leave incentive program:
