Sick/Safe Time. Faculty receive twelve (12) days of sick/safe time per academic year. (For example, if a Faculty Member is sick and unable to perform their work in the usual and customary manner from Monday to Friday, five (5) days of sick/safe time must be reported to the Department Chair.) If a substitute instructor is used while a Faculty Member is absent and using sick/safe time or receiving short-term disability benefits, the cost of the substitute will be paid by MCAD.

Sick/Safe Time. 17.1 This Article is effective July 1, 2017.
Sick/Safe Time. Each year, an Associate may use up to 48 hours of PTO for any of the reasons articulated in, and in the matter required under, the Minneapolis Sick Leave Ordinance (“Sick and Safe PTO”). If the need for use of Sick and Safe PTO is foreseeable, the employee must provide at least seven days’ notice. Requests for Non-Sick and Safe PTO are subject to approval by the Associate’s Supervisor/Manager and are based on seniority. All requests will be reviewed based on a number of factors, including business needs and staffing requirements, and will only be granted at the hotel’s discretion. A Non-Sick and Safe PTO Request Form must be filled out by the Associate, signed by the Supervisor/Manager and turned into payroll in order for the Non-Sick and Safe PTO to be paid. PTO requests will be approved or denied within seven (7) days of the request being received.
Sick/Safe Time. Faculty accrue one (1) hour of sick/safe time for every thirty (30) hours worked, up to a maximum accrual of eighty (80) hours. Sick/safe time accrual balances shall be retained for the period required by applicable law.

  • Sick Time An employee shall have all of his/her accrued sick leave credits transferred when the employee is transferred to a different State agency.

  • Crib Time (i) When an Employee is required to work overtime after the usual ceasing time for the day or shift for two hours or more, he/she shall be allowed to take, without deduction of pay, a crib time of twenty minutes in duration immediately after such ceasing time and thereafter, after each four hours of continuous work, he/she shall be allowed to take also, without deduction of pay, a crib time of 30 minutes in duration. (ii) In the event of an Employee remaining at work after the usual ceasing time without taking the crib time of twenty minutes and continuing at work for a period of two hours or more, he/she shall be regarded as having worked twenty minutes more than the time worked and be paid accordingly.

  • Vacation Time After the Trial Period is complete, the Employee is entitled to days off per year of which is required to be mutually benefiting of the Employer and the Employee. It is required for the Employee to give notice before scheduling their vacation in accordance with Company policy.

  • Leave Time During the Employment Period, Employee shall be entitled to paid vacation and leave days each calendar year in accordance with the leave policies established by Employer from time to time. Any leave time not used during each fiscal year of Employer may be carried over into the next year to the extent permitted by Employer policy.

  • Vacation; Sick Leave During the Employment Term, the Executive shall be entitled to not less than four (4) weeks of vacation during each calendar year and sick leave in accordance with the Company’s policies and practices with respect to its executives.

  • Sick Leave Benefit Plan The Sick Leave Benefit Plan will provide sick leave days and short term disability days for reasons of personal illness, personal injury, including personal medical appointments and personal dental appointments.

  • Vacation, Holidays and Sick Leave During the Term, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation, paid holidays and sick leave in accordance with the Company's standard policies for its senior executive officers.

  • Daylight Savings Time Employees required to work more than eight (8) hours on an eight (8) hour shift or more than ten (10) hours on a ten (10) hour shift due to the change from daylight savings time to standard time shall be paid for the additional hour worked at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2). Employees required to work less than eight (8) hours on an eight (8) hour shift or less than ten (10) hours on a ten (10) hour shift due to the change from standard time to daylight savings time shall be paid for the actual hours worked. Employees may use vacation time or compensatory time to make up for the one (1) hour lost. Employees in the first six (6) months of employment who would be eligible to accrue vacation, may be advanced one (1) hour of vacation time which shall either be deducted from their vacation leave balance, or deducted from their last paycheck if the employee is separated prior to accruing vacation.

  • Family Sick Leave An employee may use sick leave credits for family illness or injury only if the employee must provide direct care to an immediate family member. For purposes of family sick leave, “immediate family member” will mean the employee’s parent, spouse, or child, including step-child and xxxxxx child.

  • Flex Time Upon agreement of the supervisor's immediate supervisor, an individual flex-time schedule may be established.
