SOFTWARE ON DEVICES. 4.1 Originally installed software GCS will synchronize all GCS devices to contain the necessary apps for school work. Students may not synchronize devices through personal accounts. • GCS owned devices may be inspected by district staff at any time. • GCS staff maintains the right to delete any app, song, video, picture, book, or file that is not deemed school appropriate. • Device apps and storage will be remotely managed by GCS staff and may be removed at any time without prior notification. • Altering the device or its operating system in any way to disable remote management or removing mandatory apps will result in disciplinary action.

SOFTWARE ON DEVICES. (4.1) The software/applications installed by AIDB must remain on devices in usable condition and be easily accessible at all times. From time to time the school may add or remove software applications for use in a particular course. SOFTWARE UPGRADES Upgraded licensed software/applications are available from time to time. Students will be required to install updates as appropriate to ensure the device continues to operate properly.

Kiowa Schools will synchronize the Devices so that they contain the necessary apps for schoolwork. Students will not synchronize Devices or add apps to their assigned Device to include home syncing accounts. Inspection Students may be selected at random to provide their Device for inspection. These inspections may include an inspection of all materials saved on or accessed by the Device. Procedure for Re-loading Software If technical difficulties occur or inappropriate apps are discovered, the Device will be restored from backup to its original state. The school does not accept responsibility for the loss of any personal software or documents deleted due to a reformat and reimage. Software Upgrades Upgrade versions of licensed software/apps are available from time to time. Students will be required to check in their Devices for periodic updates and syncing.Students are allowed to update any of the Kiowa Schools core apps. ● Students can and are expected to update the iOS software when updates are made available. Loaner Computers Loaner computers will be provided to students who have devices that are not functioning or need repairs. Students whose computers are found to have damage caused by spills, or abuse, may not be eligible to have loaners. There may be a delay in getting a device should the school not have enough to loan. Misbehaviors & Consequences ● First Offense, the student will lose device for 1 week. ● Second Offense, the student will lose device for 2 weeks. ● Third Offense, the student will lose device for the rest of the school year. ● Any subsequent offenses will be left to the discretion of the administration. Inappropriate Use Students are expected to follow all rules as defined in school policy. Illegal, destructive, harmful or any other inappropriate activities, including, but not limited to computer hacking, cyber-bullying, accessing offensive/obscene materials, and engaging in illegal activity are strictly prohibit...

Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization may be used as a virtual desktop infrastructure solution, however, the Subscription does not come with any software or support for the desktop operating system. You must purchase the operating system for each instance of a desktop or server separately.

  • Software Title and ownership to Existing Software Product(s) delivered by Contractor under the Contract that is normally commercially distributed on a license basis by the Contractor or other independent software vendor proprietary owner (“Existing Licensed Product”), embedded in the Custom Products, shall remain with Contractor or the proprietary owner of other independent software vendor(s) (ISV). Effective upon acceptance, such Product shall be licensed to Authorized User in accordance with the Contractor or ISV owner’s standard license agreement, provided, however, that such standard license, must, at a minimum: (a) grant Authorized User a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use, execute, reproduce, display, perform, adapt (unless Contractor advises Authorized User as part of Contractor’s proposal that adaptation will violate existing agreements or statutes and Contractor demonstrates such to the Authorized User’s satisfaction) and distribute Existing Licensed Product to the Authorized User up to the license capacity stated in the Purchase Order or work order with all license rights necessary to fully effect the general business purpose(s) stated in the Bid or Authorized User’s Purchase Order or work order, including the financing assignment rights set forth in paragraph (c) below; and (b) recognize the State of New York as the licensee where the Authorized User is a state agency, department, board, commission, office or institution. Where these rights are not otherwise covered by the ISV’s owner’s standard license agreement, the Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining these rights at its sole cost and expense. The Authorized User shall reproduce all copyright notices and any other legend of ownership on any copies authorized under this clause. Open source software is developed independently of Contractor and may be governed by a separate license (“open source software”). If the open source software is governed by a separate License and provided under this Contract, Contractor shall provide a copy of that license in the applicable Documentation and the Authorized User's license rights and obligations with respect to that open source software shall be defined by those separate license terms and subject to the conditions, if any, therein. Nothing in this Contract shall restrict, limit, or otherwise affect any rights or obligations the Authorized User may have, or conditions to which the Authorized User may be subject, under such separate open source license terms.
