Solid Wastes. A Recipient that is a state agency or agency of a political subdivision of a state and its contractors must comply with section 6002 of the Solid Waste Disposal Act, as amended by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. The requirements of Section 6002 include procuring only items designated in guidelines of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at 40 CFR Part 247 that contain the highest percentage of recovered materials practicable, consistent with maintaining a satisfactory level of competition, where the purchase price of the item exceeds $10,000 or the value of the quantity acquired during the preceding fiscal year exceeded $10,000; procuring solid waste management services in a manner that maximizes energy and resource recovery; and establishing an affirmative procurement program for procurement of recovered materials identified in the EPA guidelines.
Solid Wastes. 48.9.2.1 The Private Party undertakes to manage all waste that are generated in such a way that direct and indirect impacts are kept to a minimum.

Segregation measures shall be employed so that no hazardous waste will become co-mingled with solid waste. SANParks will process Private Parties’ biodegradable wastes in its incinerators, where these are available and providing the units have sufficient capacity. SANParks will charge the Private Party a fee for disposal services, on a cost recovery basis. The Private Party will be required to transport wastes to these units in a responsible manner.

Solid Wastes. All solid wastes shall be removed and disposed of in accordance with prevailing ordinance or law. Clean-up shall be completed on a daily basis. All costs for disposal shall be the responsibility of the Contractor, and shall be considered incidental to the costs of the various bid items. All spilled paving and concrete material shall be removed and disposed of prior to final acceptance and payment.
Solid Wastes. All wastes generated will be re-used or recycled on site, or handled at an approved off-site landfill facility. Recycling and the reduction of solid waste at all locations are audited on a yearly basis by the Proponent. The operation of the wastewater treatment system will result in the production of sediments which will consist primarily of coal particles that will be recycled into the coal stream. Any solids resulting from the clearing of the serpentine pond will be disposed of at an off-site licensed landfill.
Solid Wastes. Any prohibited municipal solid waste detected in the incoming material, either at the tipping area on the presort line, will be removed. Rejected materials are placed either into a storage container or designated bunker. Prohibited solid wastes include any putrescible and nonputrescible solid and semisolid waste material, including garbage and rubbish and any other non-program materials that are not accepted into the City-designated recycling cart.
