Standby Time Pay. Due to staff limitations, it may be necessary for a department head or designee to issue written assignments to employees to be on standby, to handle overtime work which may arise during other than normal working hours. Standby is defined as time in which an employee is required by the department head or designee to remain at his/her residence or required to carry an electronic pager and be within 30 minutes response capability so that he/she may immediately respond to any calls received. An employee will be compensated for standby time at the rate of one-fourth (1/4) hour pay at his/her regular hourly rate for each one (1) hour period of standby time. Employees on standby called to perform work will be compensated for actual hours worked in accordance with Section 1 of this Article and shall not be subject to the provisions of Section 5.

Standby Time Pay a. In cases where it is found necessary by the department head to have Employees remain available for work in a "standby status" outside of their normal working hours, the Employer shall provide the Employee who is on standby status with a paging device. This pager will be maintained by the Employer in proper working order and will have a range of not less than five (5) miles. It is understood that an Employee on standby status shall not go beyond the range of the pager's signal and emergency services Employees shall be able to respond to a call back within 15 minutes. b. Employees on standby status with a pager or cell phone shall receive two (2) hours pay for non 56-hour Employees and 3.5 hours pay for 56 hour/week Employees at the normal hourly rate for each 24 hours or portion thereof on standby status. If the Employer does not issue a pager or cell phone to an Employee on standby status, thereby requiring the Employee to have constant access to a telephone, the Employer shall pay the Employee four (4) hours pay for non 56-hour Employees and 5.6 hours pay for 56 hour/week employees at the normal hourly rate for each 24 hours or portion thereof on standby status.

  • Standby Time All standby time shall be considered as regular hours worked and shall be compensated on a straight time or overtime basis as are other hours worked under this Agreement.

  • Standby Pay Standby pay shall be at the rate of four ($4.00) dollars per hour. An additional two dollars ($2) per hour will be paid for all hours of standby assigned by the Employer beyond seventy-five (75) hours in a pay period. Standby pay shall be paid for actual hours on standby prior to reporting for duty. Standby pay shall not be paid when the nurse is receiving the four (4) hour minimum callback guarantee, even though the nurse has returned to standby status.

  • Standby An employee who is required to remain available for duty on standby, outside the normal working hours for that particular employee, shall receive standby pay in the amount of $2.00 per hour for all hours on standby. Standby pay shall, however, cease where an employee is called into work under Article 15.06 above and works during the period of standby."

  • One-Time Payment Tenant shall pay to Landlord a one-time payment in the amount of Fifty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($50,000.00), payable within thirty (30) days of the Effective Date and subject to the following conditions precedent: (a) Tenant’s receipt of this Amendment executed by Landlord, on or before October 29, 2017; (b) Tenant’s confirmation that Landlord’s statements as further set forth in this Amendment are true, accurate, and complete, including verification of Landlord’s ownership; (c) Tenant’s receipt of any documents and other items reasonably requested by Tenant in order to effectuate the transaction and payment contemplated herein; and (d) receipt by Tenant of an original Memorandum (as defined herein) executed by Landlord.

  • On-Call Pay 1. When a regular, limited-term or probationary employee is assigned on- call duty by the County, the employee shall, whenever practicable, be informed in writing at least five (5) days in advance of the dates and inclusive hours of such assignment; the employee shall be compensated at one-fourth (1/4) of his or her basic hourly rate for the entire period of such assignment. 2. On-call duty requires the employee so assigned to: (1) be reachable by telephone or other communications device; (2) be able to report to work in a reasonable time; and (3) to refrain from activities which might impair his or her ability to perform assigned duties. 3. Employees paid on a sixteen (16) hour shift basis are exempt from these provisions. 4. On-call pay shall not apply to extra help employees unless expressly directed in writing to be on-call.

  • Applicable Time Off Employees who are granted leave in accordance with this Article shall take time off in the following order: A. Childbirth (Mother) 1. Accrued sick leave (100% and 75%) or vacation for the entire period of disability that a health care provider certifies is necessary (including prenatal care or the mother’s inability to work prior to the birth), may be taken at the employee’s discretion. 2. For the non-disability portion of childbirth leave (before delivery or after - “bonding”), accrued vacation available at the start of the leave shall be used prior to the use of time under 3, 4, 5 and 6 below.

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above specified or substitute holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional day's pay at time- and-one-half the usual rate in the amount of 12 hours pay for 8 hours worked or a proportionate amount for less than 8 hours worked provided, however, that at the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime as provided for elsewhere in this contract. 127. Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of-one-and-one-half times for work on the holiday.

  • Salary Rate Upon Employment The hiring rate of pay for a new employee shall not be higher than the rate of pay for an existing employee in the same classification with similar work experience, training and education.

  • Settlement Method Election Date The third Scheduled Trading Day immediately preceding the First Expiration Date.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.
