Section 1. Hourly rate of pay shall be an employee's annual base salary divided by 2080 hours.

Overtime, Call Back and Standby Pay
1. Overtime Pay - An employee working a 5/40 week, as defined in Article 14, and required and authorized in writing to work overtime, shall be compensated at an overtime pay rate of time and one-half (1 ½) for hours worked in excess of 40 in an official workweek. An employee working a 4/40 week, as defined in Article 13, and required and authorized in writing to work overtime, shall be compensated at an overtime pay rate of time and one-half (1 ½) for hours worked in excess of 40 in an official workweek. An employee working some other established work schedule as provided in Article 14, and required and authorized in writing to work overtime, shall be compensated at an overtime pay rate of time and one-half (1 ½) for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in an official workweek.
Overtime, Call Back. 1. As a means by which to compensate members for inconvenience resulting from an ordered return to work on an unexpected basis after completing a regularly assigned shift of work, not to be confused with being held over from one shift to the next; not to be associated or confused with monthly or planned department shift of work, not to be associated or confused with monthly or planned department shift/work schedule or anticipated additional work requirements, overtime pay shall be paid for the actual time worked plus the member shall receive one (1) hour bonus pay, provided the minimum pay per call back occurrence shall be equivalent to three (3) hours of the regular hourly pay, including the one (1) hour bonus pay.
2. A member shall not receive call back bonus pay for more than two (2) occurrences in a twenty-four (24) hour period. If the member is called back to work more than two (2) times in a twenty-four (24) hour period, the member shall be paid for the actual time worked from the beginning of working the first call back period to the end of working the last call back period.
3. A member who is called back either twenty (20) minutes prior to or twenty (20) minutes after the regularly scheduled shift shall not receive the call back bonus but shall receive the overtime pay.
4. Overtime paid at the rate one and one-half (1½) times normal pay rate shall be paid when a member is ordered back to duty due to the declaration of a natural disaster by the Mayor, Governor or U. S. President for all hours worked in excess of regularly scheduled work hours.
5. Overtime call back shall be done by using a rotating list, calling the first qualified member on the list to fill the needed position. If a member cannot be contacted, or declines the overtime, that member's name would remain in the same position on the list. If a member accepts the overtime, their name would be removed from the current list and added to the bottom of the list. In cases of an emergency, upon exhaustion of the list, the first member contacted is required to work the call back; otherwise, the member with the least job classification seniority who can be contacted in the classification called back will be required to work. If the overtime position needed is less than ten (10) hours in a twenty-four (24) hour shift, the member accepting the overtime will have their name remain in the same position on the list. Overtime, Call Back. Prior approval in writing from the Company is required before overtime may be worked. Overtime, at one and one half (1 ½) times the regular straight time rate will be paid for time worked in excess of forty (40) work hours in a work week. If employees are needed to work overtime, overtime shall be offered to volunteers first within the applicable section. If an insufficient number of employees volunteer for the overtime, then employees within the section will be forced to work the needed overtime in reverse seniority order. There shall be no duplication or pyramiding of overtime or premium payments.
Overtime, Call Back. 6.1 Overtime shall be defined as any hours or portion of hours worked beyond an employee’s normally scheduled work hours.
6.2 Overtime shall be compensated at one and one-half (1 1/2) times the employee’s hourly rate as defined in Article 9.
6.3 In the event that overtime is the beginning of, or the extension of an employee’s shift, overtime shall be computed to the next half hour (e.g. 1-30 minutes = 1/2 hour of overtime, 31-60 minutes = 1 hour of overtime). Provided that, for authorized overtime that is discretionary with the employee, overtime shall be computed in 15-minute increments.
6.4 In the event overtime is not the extension of or the beginning of employees shift and the Employer needs to call the employee in to work outside their normal work schedule, a minimum of two (2) hours of overtime shall be paid to the Employee. After the two (2) hours, overtime shall be paid in increments as defined in Section 6.3 by the employer. The two-hour minimum provisions shall not apply to overtime work that is discretionary with the employee.
6.5 An Employee shall be entitled to overtime pay when they are off shift and are required to attend a special meeting or training.
Overtime, Call Back. A. Voluntary Call-back. Seniority within the affected department/division shall apply to any voluntary call-back to duty, provided, however, that any and all instances of a call-back to duty, including the need for and number of employees with Class A CDLs required for the work, shall be subject to the sole discretion of the City. All instances of voluntary call-back to duty shall be offered by the City first to the most senior qualified employee within the employee classification of the division/department, and then down the list to the least senior employee. The least senior employee, that the City has been able to reasonably contact, who is qualified to do the work for which the call-back is made shall accept the call-back if all more senior employees have declined. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Lift Station Operator, Public Building Maintenance Worker, Parks & Public Property Mechanic, Central Vehicle Maintenance Mechanics, City Electrician and Yard Waste Site Operator shall not be included in the list of employees and seniority for voluntary call-back, unless the call-back involves work that is already performed by such person(s) in their position(s), in which case, such voluntary call-back shall be first offered to the applicable person and position. However, in the event the City has exhausted the list, and is going to offer voluntary call-back to any auxiliary worker, then the foregoing persons shall be first offered such voluntary call-back based upon their respective seniority. If any of the foregoing persons accept such call-back, his/her rate of pay shall be the same as the position for which the call-back is made and not the rate that such person has for his/her normal duties and classification. Any employee who accepts or is assigned the overtime shall report within one (1) hour.
B. Emergency Weather Call-back. Seniority for emergency call backs shall be in accordance with Section 8.3(D).
