State Examinations. Employees shall be allowed time off with pay and without loss of earned leave time for the purpose of taking State merit system examinations at the appropriate center, provided due notice is given to the appointing authority. Time off with pay shall also be allowed when an employee is scheduled for a job interview as a result of being certified from a merit system list to another agency, provided due notice is given to the appointing authority.

State Examinations. Time off with pay shall be allowed when an employee is scheduled for a job interview with any State agency, provided that advance notice is given to the employee’s current supervisor.
State Examinations. Employees will be released from regular scheduled duties and paid at their regular daily rate of pay to sit for. Employees must submit a written request at least thirty (30) days in advance, along with a copy of exam registration notice, to the supervisor.

Employees may be required to take skin tests, x-ray examination, vaccination, inoculation and other immunization (with the exception of a rubella vaccination when the employee is of the opinion that a pregnancy is possible), unless the employee's physician has advised in writing that such a procedure may have an adverse affect on the employee's health.

  • Physical Examinations Where the Employer requires an employee to take a physical examination, doctor's fees for such examination shall be paid by the Employer. Except prior to commencement of employment and the first four (4) weeks of employment, such examinations shall be taken during the employee's working hours without loss of pay to the employee.
