STAtft f DEVELOPMENT. 13.1 All employees are expected to attend monthly nursing staff meetings. Purpose: Review and discuss subcommittee recommendations and to resolve matters which relate to the improvement of nursing care. Employees attending required nursing staff meetings will receive hour-for-hour comp-time if the meeting is in excess of the employee's normal eight (8) hour work day or 40-hour work week. 13.2 Performance evaluation conference and review of job descriptions will be held once a year and at the end of six (6) months for new employees. This evaluation shall be discussed jointly by the Employee, the immediate supervisor and/or the appropriate Management designee. 13.3 New employees will be provided a period of orientation consisting of two consecutive work weeks (10 working days). This orientation will be provided and conducted by the appropriate Management designee, and will cover all areas of nursing practice within the hospital. Five working days on an assigned 013 MNA Department of Public Health & Human Services Montana State Hospital 2017-2019 shift under the general guidance of appropriate personnel will be provided in addition. 13.4 In the case of interdepartmental or promotional changes orientation will be provided at the request of the individual employee or his/her immediate supervisor with the approval of the appropriate Management designee. 13.5 In-service will be provided to all employees during respective shifts, as staffing patterns permit. It is understood that Management retains the right to establish staffing patterns. Certain in-service training will be mandatory. 13.6 Nurses must complete at least twelve (12) hours of in-service within each year. 13.7 The Employer will reimburse nurses the current XXX member testing fee set by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for the initial certification examination and for renewal fees in psychiatric mental health nursing, or other certifications approved by the Director of Nursing.

  • Staff Development ‌ The County and the Association agree that the County retains full authority to determine training needs, resources that can be made available, and the method of payment for training authorized by the County.   • Skills Development The Company acknowledges the changing pace of technology in the electrical contracting industry and the need for employees to understand those changes and have the necessary skill requirements to keep the Company at the forefront of the industry. The Parties to this Agreement recognise that in order to increase the efficiency, productivity and competitiveness of the Company, a commitment to training and skill development is required. Accordingly, the parties commit themselves to: i) Developing a more highly skilled and flexible workforce. ii) Providing employees with career opportunities through appropriate training to acquire the additional skills as required by the Company. Taking into account; The current and future skill needs of the Company. The size, structure and nature of the Company. The need to develop vocational skills relevant to the Company and the Electrical Contracting Industry. Where, by agreement between the employee and employer, an employee undertakes training providing skills, which are not a company specific requirement, any time spent in the completion of this training shall be unpaid.

  • Project Development a. Collaborate with COUNTY and project clients to identify requirements and develop a project Scope Statement. a. Develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for each project. b. Evaluate Scope Statement to develop a preliminary cost estimate and determinate whether project be vendor bid or be executed under a Job Order Contract (JOC).

  • Staff Development Leave (a) An employee will be granted leave without loss of pay, at their basic rate of pay, to take courses (including related examinations) or attend conferences, conventions, seminars, workshops, symposiums or similar out-of-service programs, at the request of the Employer. The amount of pay received by an employee will not exceed the full-time daily hours of work as outlined in Clause 14.2 (Hours of Work). When such leave is granted, the Employer will bear the full cost, including tuition fees, entrance or registration fees, laboratory fees, and course-related books. The Employer will also reimburse the employee for approved travelling, subsistence, and other legitimate, applicable expenses. (b) An employee may be granted leave without pay, with pay, or leave with partial pay, to take work related courses in which the employee wishes to enrol to acquire the skills necessary to enhance opportunities. (c) Approval of requests will be given reasonable consideration and leaves pursuant to this article will be administered in a reasonable manner. (d) Should the employee noted above terminate their employment for any reason during the six month period following completion of the above-noted leave, the employee will reimburse the Employer for all expenses incurred by the Employer (i.e. tuition fees, entrance or registration fees, laboratory fees, and course-required books) on a proportionate basis.

  • Program Development NWESD agrees that priority in the development of new applications services by XXXXX shall be in accordance with the expressed direction of the XXXXX Board of Directors operating under their bylaws.

  • Independent Development Receiving Party may currently or in the future be developing information internally, or receiving information internally, or receiving information from other parties that may be similar to the Disclosing Party's Confidential Information. Accordingly, nothing in this Agreement will be construed as a representation or inference that Receiving Party will not develop or have developed products or services, that, without violation of this Agreement, might compete with the products or systems contemplated by the Disclosing Party's Confidential Information.

  • Commencement of Development 5.3.1 In the event that development on the Lands has not commenced within five (5) years from the date of registration of this Agreement at the Registry of Deeds or Land Registry Office, as indicated herein, the Agreement shall have no further force or effect and henceforth the development of the Lands shall conform with the provisions of the Land Use By-law. For the purpose of this section, commencement of development shall mean issuance of a Mobile Home Park Construction Permit. 5.3.2 For the purpose of this section, Council may consider granting an extension of the commencement of development time period through a resolution under Section 4.1 of this Agreement, if the Municipality receives a written request from the Developer at least sixty (60) calendar days prior to the expiry of the commencement of development time period.

  • Professional Development 9.01 Continuous professional development is a hallmark of professional nursing practice. As a self-regulating profession, nursing recognizes the importance of maintaining a dynamic practice environment which includes ongoing learning, the maintenance of competence, career development, career counselling and succession planning. The parties agree that professional development includes a diverse range of activities, including but not limited to formal academic programs; short-term continuing education activities; certification programs; independent learning committee participation. The parties recognize their joint responsibility in and commitment to active participation in the area of professional development.

  • Curriculum Development This includes the analysis and coordination of textual materials; constant review of current literature in the field, some of which are selected for the college library collection, the preparation of selective, descriptive materials such as outlines and syllabi; conferring with other faculty and administration on curricular problems; and, the attendance and participation in inter and intra-college conferences and advisory committees.
