Strike Prohibited. Neither the Association nor any deputies, agents or employees will initiate, promote, encourage, engage in or condone any strike, picketing, slowdown, concerted work stoppage, or any other intentional interruption of work during the term of this agreement.

Neither the Union nor any officers, agents or employees will instigate, promote, encourage, engage in or condone any strike, picketing, slowdown, concerted work stoppage, or any other intentional interruption of work in conjunction with their employment in the Wausau Fire Department during the term of this Agreement.

The Union will not cause or permit its members to cause, nor will any member of the Union take part in, any sit-down, stay-in or slow-down in any plant of the Company, or any curtailment of work or restriction of production or interference with production of the Company. The Union will not cause or permit its members to cause nor will any member of the Union take part in any strike or stoppage of any of the Company's operations or picket any of the Company's plants or premises until all the grievance procedure as outlined in this Agreement has been exhausted, and in no case over a matter on which the Appeal Board has power, and authority to rule, and in no other case until the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America, within sixty (60) days after receiving the Plant Manager's decision, has notified the Manager of Union Relations of the Company in writing that it has authorized a strike, specifying the grievances that are involved in the proposed strike, and negotiations have continued for at least seven (7) separate days on which meetings have been held after the Company has received such notice. Union representatives shall receive pay from the Company at their regular hourly rates for time spent in such meetings provided they would otherwise have worked in the plant. Such notice shall be valid for only sixty (60) working days unless extended by mutual agreement. In the discussion and settlement of the grievances as to which the International Union has given notification of intent to strike, neither party shall be required to bargain or act with respect to any other issue, grievance or dispute.
Strike Prohibited. The Union hereby agrees that neither it nor any of its members will strike during the term of this Agreement.
Strike Prohibited. During the life of this Agreement, the Union and its members, as individuals or as a group, will not initiate, cause, permit, participate in or join any strike, work stoppage, slow down, picketing or any other restriction of work. Employees in the bargaining unit, given the opportunity to confer with a supervisor while acting in the course of their employment, shall not honor any picket line when called upon to cross such picket line in the line of duty. Disciplinary action, including discharge, may be taken by the City against any employee or employees engaging in a violation of this article.

Neither the Council nor any employee will call, initiate, authorize, participate in, sanction, encourage or ratify any strike, sit-in, slowdown, sympathy strike, cessation or work stoppage or the concerted interference with the full, faithful and proper performance of the duties of employment with the Employer during the term of this Agreement, other than as may be provided for in the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act of 1986 or as may be revised from time to time. Neither the Council nor any employee shall refuse to cross any picket line, by whomever established.

The City and the Association agree that the public interest requires the efficient and uninterrupted performance of all City services, and to this end pledge their best efforts to avoid or eliminate any conduct contrary to this objective: During the life of this Agreement, the Association shall not cause or condone any work stoppage, strike, slowdown or other interference with City functions by employees under this Agreement, and should same occur, the Association agrees to take appropriate steps to end such interference. Employees covered by this Agreement who engage in any of the foregoing actions, shall be subject to such disciplinary action as may be determined by the City.
