Student's rights. The Student, if of sufficient maturity and understanding, has certain legal rights that the School must observe. These include the right to give or withhold consent in a variety of circumstances and certain rights to confidentiality and, usually, the right to have contact with the Parents. If a conflict of interest arises between the Parents and the Student, the rights of and duties owed to the Student will in most cases take precedence over the rights of and duties owed to the Parents.

Student's rights. If the Student is a minor under the laws of the Student’s state of residence, acceptance by the Custodian of the contribution to this Account is expressly conditioned upon the Parent’s (identified above in Section 1) agreement to be responsible for all requirements of the Student, and to exercise the powers and duties of the Student with respect to the operation of the Account. Upon reaching the age of majority in the state in which the Student then resides, the Student may advise the Custodian in writing (accompanied by such supporting documentation as the Custodian may require) that he or she is assuming sole responsibility to exercise all powers and duties associated with the administration of the Account. Absent such written notice by the Student, the Custodian shall have no responsibility to acknowledge the Student’s exercise of such powers and duties of administration.

The Collegio offers its students free accommodation, usually in a double studio apartment, at the University residence "ex Ospedale Militare" in via Xxxxx Xxxxxx 40 in Trieste, managed by DoveVivo (xxxxx://xxxxxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/trieste/). The accommodation includes the following services: a. private bathroom, kitchenette with full kitchenware kit, LED TV, Wi-Fi, summer and winter air conditioning; b. utilities (water, electricity, internet connection, air conditioning, telephone in the room for national and cell phone calls), weekly cleaning and linen change; c. access to common areas (study rooms, library, copy room, video room, music room, gym, leisure rooms, laundry); d. reception and janitor service. 2. A different type of accommodation from the one offered by the Collegio may be agreed upon between the student and the manager of the Residence (DoveVivo). Any additional costs will in any case be paid by the students. 3. The Collegio offers its students the educational activities described in Article 4, paragraph 2, free of charge. 4. The Collegio offers its students curricular counselling and financial support for periods of study abroad according to the procedures established in art. 7 of these regulations. 5. In addition to the benefits referred to in paragraphs 1-3 of this article, the Collegio may offer students financial support in the form of scholarships. The number, amount, criteria and modalities for the allocation of scholarships are established annually by the Board of Directors and specified in the announcements. 6. The students of the Collegio may elect a maximum of four representatives, of which: a. no more than two representatives elected among students enrolled in the three-year degree programs and in the first three years of the single-cycle degree programs; b. no more than two representatives elected among students enrolled in the two- year degree programs and in the last two or three years of single-cycle degree programs. 7. The students’ representatives of the Collegio are part of the Joint Committee that includes the President, the Scientific Director and the coordinators of the two disciplinary areas. They can be invited to participate, without the right to vote, in the meetings of the Board of Directors and the Scientific Council. 8. Student's rights. Students taking part in the Mobility Programme shall have the right to obtain, at the home and host universities, the teaching and evaluation services corresponding to the subjects taken at each University, under the same conditions as other students at said University who are also taking said subjects. Furthermore, students taking part in the Mobility Programme will have, at the host University, the same regime of rights and obligations as students who take part in the Erasmus Mobility Programme.

Student's rights. Students with a documented disability are entitled to appropriate and reasonable accommodations in their academic courses and in their learning or living environments so that they are able to fulfill the standards and requirements of their chosen degree programs on an equal basis with their peers. This right is in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
