SYSTEMIC PROVISIONS. A. By August 31, 2020, the District will revise page 8 of the 2019-2020 Parent/Guardian Handbook (Handbook) so that the last sentence of the paragraph on page 8 under the heading Inclusion of Special Needs Students is removed and replaced with the sentence, “Reasonable accommodations will be provided by the San Diego Unified School District for participation in the Primetime before and after school program without undue delay.” in all future editions of the Handbook. B. By August 31, 2020, the District will distribute the Handbook to administrators and staff at the School and to all District Special Education Division employees.

SYSTEMIC PROVISIONS. A. Within 45 calendar days of the execution of this Agreement, the District will provide OCR with a draft of a guidance memorandum it has developed to address requests for evaluation under Section 504 or the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA), the process for timely identification and evaluation, and provision of procedural safeguards for OCR’s review and approval. B. Within 15 calendar days of receiving approval from OCR, the District will distribute the guidance memorandum to administrators and staff at the School who are charged with ensuring that students with special needs are identified and evaluated. C. Within 90 calendar days of the execution of this Agreement, the District will conduct training for school site staff and administrators responsible for the identification, evaluation, and placement of students requiring a Section 504 Plan or Individualized Education Program (IEP) at the School. D. The training will include education on the District’s policies and procedures for providing a free, appropriate public education under Section 504 and Title II, with an emphasis on the provision of procedural safeguards and timelines for identification and evaluation. E. The training will cover, but is not limited to, the following: i. The definition of an individual with a disability and the definition of major life activities consistent with Section 504 and the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAA); ii. The District and School’s responsibility to appropriately and timely identify, evaluate, and place students with special needs. iii. The District and School’s responsibility to provide notice to parents/guardians of procedural safeguards with respect to actions regarding the identification, evaluation, or placements of students who, because of disability, need or are believed to need special instruction or related services, including when decisions are made in any type of meeting with a parent or guardian not to conduct such an evaluation or make an eligibility determination under either Section 504 or the IDEA and instead proceed with a Student Success Team (SST) or other type of school support meeting.

  • Academic Program A. Upon successful completion of the major requirements, as indicated below, SDSU will accept 48 technical course credits from the A.A.S. degree in Criminal Justice with a law enforcement emphasis. Additional transferable system general education credits may be earned at WDT and may be transferred to SDSU. Students must meet all Board of Regents policies and university graduation requirements in order to receive a degree. B. Requirements to be completed at SDSU to earn a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Sociology are outlined below. The general education coursework to meet South Dakota Regental System’s General Education Requirements (SGR) must also be completed as outlined below. This coursework may be taken at WDT if equivalent courses are available. Please note that BOR Policy 2.5 states, “Total transfer credit for work at two-year technical or community college may not exceed one-half of the hours required for completion of the baccalaureate degree at the accepting institution unless an approved program-specific waiver exists.” For this program, that number is 60 credits. 1. Natural Sciences Class (4 credits) from the approved list in SDSU Bulletin, taken as needed to earn 10 or more science credits from at least two different disciplines, with a minimum of two labs 2.
