Training for Students. A. By December 31, 2023, and December 31, 2024, the District will provide age- appropriate training for District students that will cover: 1. The District’s revised Title IX Policy and Grievance Procedures developed under Item II, including where to locate the policy and procedures on the District’s website, and the existence of OCR and its authority to enforce Title IX; 2. the District’s Title IX Coordinator(s), (including current and complete contact information), as well as school administrators and their respective roles in coordinating the District’s response to reports and formal complaints of sexual harassment; 3. what constitutes sexual harassment, the District’s prohibition against sex discrimination, including sexual harassment, the District’s commitment to having a District environment free from sexual harassment and other harassment based on sex, and a statement that harassment of students based on sex will not be tolerated; 4. what students should do if they believe they or other students have been subjected to sexual harassment, including how to report such harassment and file a formal complaint of such harassment with the Title IX Coordinator(s) or their designee(s); and 5. the supportive measures available to students who report sexual harassment or retaliation, and the available remedies following a finding of sexual harassment and/or retaliation after an investigation.

Training for Students. The College will provide training to all students, including graduate students, on the College’s sexual misconduct/Title IX grievance procedures, the College’s obligations regarding the investigation of complaints, including the College’s responsibilities under Title IX even in instances where the victim declines to proceed with an investigation, guidance from OCR, and Title IX’s prohibitions on retaliation. The training will also include information on particular types of conduct that would constitute sexual violence, including same-sex sexual violence, and information on consent and the role drugs and alcohol can play in the ability to consent. The training will also make students aware of the College’s prohibition against sexual harassment, sexual violence and retaliation; educate students on how to recognize such forms of sex discrimination when they occur; inform students regarding how and to whom any incidents of sexual harassment, sexual violence and retaliation should be reported, including information related to the employee categories and the mandatory reporting requirements of all employees not designated as confidential employees; and provide a general overview of Title IX, the rights this law confers on students, the resources available to students who have experienced sexual harassment, sexual violence and retaliation, and the role and authority of OCR to enforce Title
Training for Students. By December 31, 2016, and periodically thereafter, the District will provide training to all students at the School, appropriate to the students’ ages and disabilities, regarding discrimination and harassment on the basis of sex and/or disability (other bases may be included). The training will include (a) the requirements of Title IX, Section 504 and the ADA, including that discrimination and/or harassment is prohibited and will not be tolerated; (b) the range of behaviors that constitute discrimination and/or harassment on the basis of sex and/or disability (other bases may be included); (c) the disciplinary sanctions applicable to anyone who engages in discrimination and/or harassment; and (d) where, how, and to whom instances of discrimination and/or harassment are to be reported.
Training for Students. By September 30, 2016, and periodically thereafter, the District will provide training to all students at the School, appropriate to the students’ ages and disabilities, regarding discrimination, including harassment, on the bases of race, color, and/or national origin and may include other bases. At a minimum, the training will include and/or add instruction regarding:
Training for Students. In collaboration with the Compliance Coordinator, the District will develop and provide Districtwide annual, age-appropriate student training regarding bullying and harassment, including cyberbullying. The training will be designed to increase awareness of what constitutes harassment based on race and sex; the District’s prohibition against such harassment; how to recognize harassment based on race and sex and the importance of reporting it; how to report harassment, including methods for reporting incidents anonymously; the prohibition against retaliation for reporting racial and sexual harassment incidents and how to report incidents of retaliation; and the consequences for subjecting individuals to racial and sexual harassment. The training will also cover to whom in the District students may go with questions related to racial and sexual harassment, and the availability of counseling and other services for students who have been racially or sexually harassed. REPORTING REQUIREMENT: By November 15, 2019, the District will provide documentation to OCR demonstrating that the first annual training required by item 14 of the Agreement was provided to all students. The documentation must include: the date(s) of the training; the name(s) and credentials of the presenter(s); copies of any materials used during the training, including any handouts, guides or other materials; and sign-in sheets or lists showing which students attended the training. The District does not need to submit documentation to OCR regarding subsequent annual training sessions contemplated by this Agreement unless OCR requests such information from the District
Training for Students. The District will develop for OCR’s review and approval annual training materials for the School’s students on the requirements of Title IX. Specifically, the training will discuss: • The definitions of sex-based discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual assault, together with examples of each; • The District’s prohibition on sex-based discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual assault; • The District’s responsibility to respond to reports of on-campus and off-campus sexual harassment and sexual assault against students if it may create a hostile environment on-campus; • The importance of reporting sex-based discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual assault; • How and to whom to report incidents of sex-based discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual assault; and • The potential consequences and corrective actions that may be taken if harassment is found. • Draft training materials; and • Identification of the intended trainer(s) and information about the trainer(s) qualifications. The District will promptly consider and respond to OCR’s feedback with respect to the draft training materials and intended trainer(s) until OCR notifies the District, in writing, that the training materials and trainer(s) or provider are in accordance with Item 6 of the Agreement and are consistent with Title IX statutory and regulatory requirements.
Training for Students. The District will provide an age-appropriate information program for students at the School that is designed to increase awareness of what constitutes harassment based on disability, inform students of the consequences of harassment for both the student who is the target of the harassment and for the harasser, and encourage students to report incidents of harassment. The training will, at minimum, address the following topics: (i) The differences between bullying and harassment that may be discriminatory in nature; (ii) The types of conduct that could constitute such harassment, such as verbal acts and name-calling, graphic and written statements, or other conduct that may be physically threatening, harmful, or humiliating; (iii) The negative impact that such harassment has on the educational environment; (iv) The consequences, including discipline, that may be imposed on students who engage in harassment of other students based on disability, and (v) How students should respond if they experience or witness such harassment, including the reporting avenues available.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend. b. The awareness program shall include but not be limited to: i. the definitions of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; ii. understanding situations that are not harassment or sexual harassment, including the exercise of an employer's managerial and/or supervisory rights and responsibilities; iii. developing an awareness of behaviour that is illegal and/or inappropriate; iv. outlining strategies to prevent harassment and sexual harassment; v. a review of the resolution of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; vi. understanding malicious complaints and the consequences of such; vii. outlining any Board policy for dealing with harassment and sexual harassment; viii. outlining laws dealing with harassment and sexual harassment which apply to employees in B.C.
