Education Act. As part of the eligible program workload, classroom teachers shall be assigned, in the aggregate, equivalent programs. The assignment of equivalent programs shall not exceed of the aggregate system workload assignments. Effective September no teacher shall be assigned more than eligible programs, including a maximum of equivalent courses, of the eligible workload per semester. Where an employee has received sick benefits from the Board related to a non-occupational illness or injury, and subsequently receives a judgement or award from a third party for loss of wages relating to the same absence, the employee shall be required to pay to the Board the lesser of the amount of such award or the sick leave payments received. Education Act. In order for a new Occasional Teacher's name to be included on the list, the teacher must provide a completed application form. An Occasional Teacher shall notify the Manager of Human Resources, in writing, of any changes during the school year of address, email address if available, telephone number, preferences or availability. The Board shall send to each teacher on the Occasional Teacher List a notice by May reminding to confirm whether he or she wishes to have name remain on the list. The Board will develop and maintain electronic form that will be completed by Occasional Teachers to confirm the desire to remain on the Occasional Teacher List for the following school year. A confirmation of receipt can be printed by the employee once the form is completed. In addition to Articles and an occasional teacher's name shall be removed the list if he or she fails to notify the Manager of Human Resources by June each year of desire to remain on the list for the next school year or if he or she fails to submit a copy of the certificate of qualification the College of Teachers.
