Teacher Reprimand. Section A: GENERAL Paragraph 1: Normally problems concerning complaints and/or the teacher's performance will be called to the teacher's attention in an oral conference, however, it may be necessary for the building principal to conduct a conference and prepare a written conference report thereof. In such cases the teacher will receive a copy of the report if such report is placed in his/her personnel file.

Teacher Reprimand. The reprimand of a teacher by a principal or superintendent shall be done in private and for just cause. A teacher shall be entitled to have present a representative of the Association when he/she is being reprimanded, warned, or disciplined for any infraction of rules or delinquency in professional performance when such reprimand, warning, or discipline shall become part of the teacher's personnel file. When a request for such representation is made, no action shall be taken with respect to the teacher until a representative of the Association is present.
Teacher Reprimand. 38.00 The Board and the Association agree that the following procedures shall be the model by which discipline is imposed. Before a member is issued a verbal reprimand, written reprimand, or suspension without pay, the member shall receive written notice of a hearing on the possible discipline. The notice shall specify that the member is entitled to bring a CNEA and OEA representative to the meeting. If necessary, the hearing will be rescheduled by mutual agreement to accommodate the attendance of the representative(s). During the course of the investigation, the member may be placed on paid administrative leave. Following the hearing, the member and representative(s) shall be advised in writing of the disposition of the hearing. The following steps of progressive discipline will be used by the Administration:
Teacher Reprimand. No Administrator shall reprimand a teacher in the presence of students, parents, colleagues, or others except when the colleagues may be in a representative capacity. This prohibition is not intended to prevent more than one administrator from being present at the reprimand in an official capacity. No recording devices shall be used during any meetings between a teacher and administration and/or parents except with the permission of all parties involved.
