TEMPORARY REASSIGNMENT DUE TO INJURY OR ILLNESS. 21.1 A bargaining unit member may be allowed to return to work on light duty status upon the recommendation of his/her physician. The recommendation should be made only if there is a reasonable expectation that the bargaining unit member can return to work within sixty (60) working days and maintain current pay grade. Only two (2) light duty positions will be available to lieutenants in the Department of Law Enforcement. These positions will be utilized on a first come basis. The Sheriff in his sole and exclusive discretion may increase the number of light duty positions. The Sheriff or his designee has sole discretion to approve light duty status. A bargaining unit member who refuses a light duty assignment will forfeit any sick leave or disability benefit to which he/she would otherwise be entitled.

TEMPORARY REASSIGNMENT DUE TO INJURY OR ILLNESS. 21.1 Bargaining unit members who are temporarily unable to perform the essential functions of their position due to an injury or illness may be temporarily re-assigned to a light duty assignment for which they can perform the essential job functions. . Only two (2) light duty positions will be available to lieutenants in the Department of Law Enforcement. Preference for the light duty positions will be given to bargaining unit members who sustain an on-duty injury. The Sheriff or his designee in his sole and exclusive discretion may increase the number of light duty positions. A bargaining unit member who refuses a light duty assignment will be ineligible to use any accrued leave or disability benefit to which he/she would otherwise be entitled.

  • Temporary Reassignment Notwithstanding the above, the Appointing Authority may temporarily reassign any employee to another work area and/or shift for five (5) consecutive months or less. With mutual agreement between the Local and the Appointing Authority, such reassignment may extend up to twelve (12) months. At the end of the reassignment, the reassigned employee shall return to his/her former position, unless the position has been abolished, in which case the employee shall return to his/her former work area and shift.

  • Temporary Layoff The Employer may temporarily layoff an employee for up to ninety (90) days due to an unanticipated loss of funding, revenue shortfall, lack of work, shortage of material or equipment, or other unexpected or unusual reasons.   • Temporary Interruption of Employment When the Employer declares that a temporary interruption of employment should be considered because of lack of funds, either party may provide the other with written notice to meet and discuss possible terms of such interruption or alternative options.   • Temporary Roads As necessary to attain stabilization of roadbed and fill slopes of Temporary Roads, Purchaser shall employ such measures as out- sloping, drainage dips, and water-spreading ditches. After a Temporary Road has served Purchaser’s pur- pose, Purchaser shall give notice to Forest Service and shall remove bridges and culverts, eliminate ditches, out- slope roadbed, remove ruts and berms, effectively block the road to normal vehicular traffic where feasible under existing terrain conditions, and build cross ditches and water bars, as staked or otherwise marked on the ground by Forest Service. When bridges and culverts are re- moved, associated fills shall also be removed to the ex- tent necessary to permit normal maximum flow of water.

  • Temporary Taking If the whole or any part of the Leased Property (other than the fee) or of Lessee’s interest under this Lease is condemned by any Condemnor for its temporary use or occupancy (which shall mean a period not to exceed two years), this Lease shall not terminate by reason thereof, and Lessee shall continue to pay, in the manner and at the terms herein specified, the full amounts of Base Rent and Additional Charges. In addition, Lessee shall pay Percentage Rent at a rate equal to the average Percentage Rent during the last three (3) preceding Fiscal Years (or if three (3) Fiscal Years shall not have elapsed, the average during the preceding Fiscal Years). Except only to the extent that Lessee may be prevented from so doing pursuant to the terms of the order of the Condemnor, Lessee shall continue to perform and observe all of the other terms, covenants, conditions and obligations hereof on the part of Lessee to be performed and observed, as though such Condemnation had not occurred. In the event of any Condemnation as in this Section 15.6 described, the entire amount of any Award made for such Condemnation allocable to the Term of this Lease, whether paid by way of damages, rent or otherwise, shall be paid to Lessee. Lessee covenants that upon the termination of any such period of temporary use or occupancy it will, at its sole cost and expense (subject to Lessor’s contribution as set forth below), restore the Leased Property as nearly as may be reasonably possible to the condition in which the same was immediately prior to such Condemnation, unless such period of temporary use or occupancy extends beyond the expiration of the Term, in which case Lessee shall not be required to make such restoration. If restoration is required hereunder, Lessor shall contribute to the cost of such restoration that portion of its entire Award that is specifically allocated to such restoration in the judgment or order of the court, if any, and Lessee shall fund the balance of such costs in a manner reasonably satisfactory to Lessor.
