TEMPORARY WORK-RELATED SCHEDULE CHANGES. A. A supervisor may, after giving timely notice to affected employees, make a temporary change to an employee's work schedule (including scheduled days off) for any work-related exigency -- including, but not limited to, to ensure required attendance at meetings, training, travel; to alleviate inadequate office coverage during the established work day; to provide required services to internal or external customers; to compensate for temporary staffing shortages or changes; or to fulfill special needs of the Agency. B. An employee may request a temporary change to the work schedule (including scheduled days off) for any work-related exigency -- including, but not limited to, ensuring required attendance at meetings, training, travel; providing required services to internal or external customers; or fulfilling special needs of the Agency. Such request for change must be submitted on the appropriate form and approved by the supervisor in advance. C. Timely notice as used in this paragraph, is defined to mean as soon as is practicable after the supervisor has determined a change in the work schedule is required for the current or any subsequent work day for any of the reasons noted in 10.6.A above or similar requirements. It is understood by the parties that the amount of notice practicable in each instance will vary according to the circumstances. Supervisors shall consider the affected employees' need to make corresponding changes in their personal affairs to accommodate the Employer. D. For supervisory initiated changes according to 10.6.A, an employee who is required to work on their scheduled day(s) off will, if possible, be permitted to schedule alternative day(s) off during the pay period. If this is not possible, the employee will be paid overtime or permitted to accrue compensatory time for future use.

  • Temporary Schedule Changes Overtime-eligible employees’ workweeks and/or work schedules may be temporarily changed with prior notice from the Employer. A temporary schedule change is defined as a change lasting thirty (30) calendar days or less. With the exception of the job classifications listed in Appendix B, overtime-eligible employees will receive three (3) calendar days’ written notice of any temporary schedule change. The day that notification is given is considered the first day of notice. Adjustments in the hours of work of daily work shifts during a workweek do not constitute a temporary schedule change.

  • Permanent Schedule Changes Employees’ workweeks and work schedules may be permanently changed with prior notice from the Employer. Overtime-eligible employees will receive ten (10) calendar days’ written notice of a permanent schedule change. The day notification is given is considered the first day of notice. Notice will normally be given to the affected employees during their scheduled working hours. If an affected employee is on extended leave, notice may be sent to the employee’s last known address.

  • Temporary Work Temporary work results from replacing a faculty member on leave, or assigned to other duties, or work that is a result of a time limited contract/project.

  • Temporary Disconnection Temporary disconnection shall continue only for so long as reasonably necessary under Good Utility Practice.

  • Temporary Structures Installation of temporary construction-related structures including scaffolding, barriers, screening, fences, protective walkways, signage, office trailers or restrooms.

  • Schedule Changes (a) If, in the course of a posted schedule, the Employer: (i) changes Employees’ scheduled days off without giving 14 days’ notice of the change, they shall be paid 2X their Basic Rate of Pay for all hours worked on what would otherwise have been their off-duty days. (ii) changes Employees’ scheduled Shift, but not their scheduled days off, without giving 14 days’ notice of the change, they shall be paid 2X their Basic Rate of Pay for all hours worked during the first Shift of the changed schedule. (b) Employees shall be notified of such changes in their schedule and such changes shall be recorded on the Shift schedule. (c) An Employee or the Employer may, during the course of a posted schedule, ask to amend scheduled Shifts. Such Employee requests shall be granted where operationally possible without additional cost. Where mutually agreed, the requirements for 14 days’ notice of change and the resultant penalty pay as described in Article 7.04(a) shall not apply. Employees or the Employer should make such requests as far in advance as possible in order to maximize the ability to accommodate the request. Any Shift changes made by mutual agreement shall not violate the scheduling provisions of this Article.

  • Employee-Requested Schedule Changes Overtime-eligible employees’ workweeks and work schedules may be changed at the employee’s request and with the Employer’s approval, provided the Employer’s business and customer service needs are met and no overtime expense is incurred.

  • Temporary Roads As necessary to attain stabilization of roadbed and fill slopes of Temporary Roads, Purchaser shall employ such measures as out- sloping, drainage dips, and water-spreading ditches.

  • Temporary Suspension JetBrains reserves the right to suspend Customer’s access to JetBrains Products if Customer or User’s use of Product is in violation of this Agreement or disrupts or imminently threatens the security, integrity, or availability of a Product.

  • Temporary Upgrade An employee in a temporary upgrade status shall have no right to grieve or arbitrate release from such temporary upgrade status.
