Thesis. This agreement shall not prevent or hinder registered students of the University from submitting for degrees of the University theses based on the Licensed Technology; or from following the University’s procedures for examinations and for admission to postgraduate degree status.
Thesis. This Agreement shall not prevent or hinder the Student from submitting a thesis based on results generated within the scope of the Project, or from following the University’s procedures for examination and for admission to postgraduate degree status. The Student shall follow the University’s regulations for the submission of a thesis for examination. In any event the Student shall submit a draft thesis to the Academic Supervisor and Industrial Supervisor at least thirty (30) days prior to the date for submission for examination. The Company recognises that data obtained during the course of the Project and, if appropriate, any Background Intelletual Property supplied by the Company may be used in the preparation of a thesis or theses. If deemed appropriate, and provided that the Company notifies the University of such requirement within thirty (30) days of receipt of the draft thesis, any thesis prepared using such information will be kept confidential for a period of [insert a time period of no more than five (5) years – this period may be less than 5 depending on the length of time that the University keeps the thesis embargoed in its library] years as outlined in the University’s regulations governing submission of theses. Thereafter, any such thesis or theses will be placed in the public domain.

7.2 During the Project Period, the Academic Supervisor, the Diamond Supervisor, the Company Supervisor and the Student shall identify at the progress meetings any Background Intellectual Property of Diamond or the Company which the Student may wish to incorporate into the Project. Diamond or the Company shall decide whether or not to allow the identified Background Intellectual Property to be used in the Project. If this decision gives rise to a requirement to amend the description of the Project, as outlined in the First Schedule, such amendment shall be mutually agreed in principle between the Academic Supervisor, the Diamond Supervisor, the Company Supervisor and the Student and forwarded to the contracting authorities of the University, the Company and Diamond for authorisation.
7.3 The Student shall follow the University’s regulations for the submission of the thesis or theses for examination. In any event the Student shall submit a draft thesis to the Academic Supervisor, the Company Supervisor and Diamond Supervisor at least 30 (thirty) days prior to the date for submission for examination.
7.4 The Student may not, without Diamond and/or the Company’s express written consent, include in any thesis any Background Intellectual Property or Arising Intellectual Property belonging solely to Diamond and/or the Company, which is not directly related to the Project, as outlined in the First Schedule, as amended.
7.5 The Student will provide to Diamond an electronic copy of the thesis promptly following the successful completion of the PhD (by email to the Diamond Supervisor and Diamond’s Student Engagement Officer: xxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx@xxxxxxx.xx.xx) and, if requested by Diamond, one bound hard copy of the thesis within 3 (three) months of that date.
Thesis is a research experience designed, conducted and written by an individual student under the guidance of a tenured/tenure track faculty advisor with an evaluation of the completed thesis by a tenured/tenure track faculty second reader. The thesis provides the student opportunities for advanced scholarly engagement and results in a formal written document for review and oral presentation of the research. The “Request to Offer” a thesis project, including the course description, shall be approved by the Division Chair and College Xxxx.

Thesis. The PhD thesis title is: XXXXXXXX The PhD thesis will be written in Portuguese/other language and accompanied with an abstract in Portuguese and in xxxx [other language].
Thesis. The thesis follows the format of the home university. It must be in English and have a summary in English and in Danish. It must meet the international standards for a thesis in the field of health science and publications and manuscripts must be in concordance with the Vancouver requirements. The thesis is submitted to the home university for joint assessment by both universities. An electronic copy of the thesis including co-author statements (if applicable) is forwarded to Health, AU where it will be screened for duplicate text. Depending on the result, the PhD student may be asked to correct and resubmit the thesis. The thesis should not be sent to the assessment committee until the screening process has been completed. The assessment committee prepares a preliminary recommendation in English as to whether the defence can take place or the thesis should be resubmitted. This recommendation (written and substantiated) is forwarded to Health, AU. If such a recommendation is not standard practice at the home university, the member representing Health, AU prepares a recommendation on behalf of the committee.
