Time Off for MSEA Business. 21 1. To the extent that attendance for MSEA business does not substantially interfere 22 with the Employer's operation, properly designated MSEA Representatives, 23 regardless of shift assignment, shall be allowed time off without pay for the 24 following: MSEA Board of Directors Meetings, MSEA Executive Council Meetings, 25 state or area-wide MSEA Committee Meetings, MSEA General Assembly, MSEA 26 sponsored training and other Union business.
Time Off for MSEA Business. 1. To the extent that attendance for MSEA business does not substantially interfere with the Employer's operation, properly designated MSEA Representatives, regardless of shift assignment, shall be allowed time off without pay for the following: MSEA Board of Directors Meetings, MSEA Executive Council Meetings, state or area-wide MSEA Committee Meetings, MSEA General Assembly, MSEA sponsored training and other union business. Employees who have been granted leave without pay shall not earn annual, sick, or length of service credits during the time spent in authorized Association activities. Such lost time shall not be detrimental in any way to the employee's record. The parties agree to minimize time lost from work under this Article.

  • Time Off for Association Business 21.01 Upon written request by the Association to the permanent head, and with the approval in writing of the permanent head, leave with pay shall be awarded to an employee as follows:

  • Time Off for Union Business Leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority will be granted:

  • Time Off for Union Activities A. Conventions and Conferences Union-designated employees may be allowed time off without pay to attend union-sponsored conventions or conferences. Approval for the time off must be granted in advance of the absence and in accordance with the Employer’s leave policies. Approval will not be granted if the absence interferes with the Employer’s ability to provide coverage during the requested time off or the operating needs of the agency cannot be met.

  • Leave for Association Business The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence, without pay, to nurses selected by the Association to attend Association business including conferences, conventions and Provincial Committee meetings and to any nurse elected to the position of Local Co-ordinator. The cumulative total leave of absence, the amount of notice, the number of nurses that may be absent at any time from one area and the number of days (including those of the Local Co-ordinator) is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions. During such leave of absence, a nurse's salary and applicable benefits or percentage in lieu of fringe benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the local Association agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the daily rate of the full-time nurse or in the amount of the full cost of such salary and percentage in lieu of fringe benefits of a part-time nurse except for Provincial Committee meetings which will be reimbursed by the Association. The Hospital will bill the local Association within a reasonable period of time. Part-time nurses will receive service and seniority credit for all leaves granted under this Article.

  • Service Jointly Provisioned with an Independent Company or Competitive Local Exchange Company Areas 4.5.1 BellSouth will in some instances provision resold services in accordance with the General Subscriber Services Tariff and Private Line Tariffs jointly with an Independent Company or other Competitive Local Exchange Carrier.

  • Time Off for Meetings Any representative of the Union on this Committee, or their alternate, who is in the employ of the Employer, shall have the privilege of attending meetings of the Committee held within working hours without loss of remuneration, provided that the Senior Administrator has prior notice.

  • Time Off for Elections Employees shall be allowed four (4) consecutive hours off before the closing of the polls in any Federal, Provincial, or Municipal election or referendum.

  • Time Off for Meeting Any representative of the Union or the Bargaining Team, who is in the employ of the Employer, shall have the right to attend bargaining meetings with the Employer held within working hours without loss of remuneration.

  • Leave of Absence for Union Business (a) The Employer shall grant leaves of absence to employees to attend Union Conventions, negotiations of the Collective Agreement with the Employer and other Union business. The Union agrees that such leave will not unduly affect the proper operations or be detrimental to the proficient operations of the Employer.
