Total Disability Defined. A) Total Disability, as used in this Plan, means the complete inability because of an accident or sickness, of a covered employee to perform the duties of his/her own occupation for the first two (2) years of disability. Thereafter, an employee who is able by reason of education, training, or experience to perform the duties of any gainful occupation for which the rate of pay equals or exceeds seventy percent (70%) of the current rate of pay for his/her regular occupation at the date of disability shall no longer be considered totally disabled under the Plan. However, the employee may be eligible for a Residual Monthly Disability Benefit.
