Uncompensated Sick Leaves of Absence. Any teacher who becomes ill or physically incapacitated and who has used all allowable sick leave during any school year shall be granted an uncompensated leave of absence for the duration of said school year. In case of any disagreement between the teacher and the Board of Education as to the necessity of such leave of absence, the Board of Education may require the certificate of a medical doctor of the Board’s choice evidencing such disability, and the evidence of the doctor shall be final. All accrued medical fees for this examination shall be paid by the Board.

Uncompensated Sick Leaves of Absence. An employee who becomes ill or physically incapacitated and who has used all allowable sick leave during any fiscal year shall be granted an uncompensated leave of absence in accordance with district policy, FMLA regulations or if disabled shall follow IMRF regulations. Upon return to work, the employee will be required to present a certificate of good health. In case of any disagreement between the employee and the Board as to the necessity of such leave of absence, the Board may require the certificate of a medical doctor of the Board’s choice evidencing such disability and the evidence of the doctor shall be final. All accrued medial fees for this examination shall be paid by the Board.
Uncompensated Sick Leaves of Absence. ‌ Any full-time/part-time professional educator who becomes ill or physically incapacitated and who has used all allowable sick leave during any school year shall be granted an uncompensated leave of absence for the duration of said school year. In case of any disagreement between the professional educator and the Board of Education as to the necessity of such leave of absence, the Board of Education may require the certificate of a medical doctor of the Board’s choice evidencing such disability, and the evidence of the doctor shall be final. All accrued medical fees for this examination shall be paid by the Board.

  • Unpaid Leaves of Absence A. A department head or designee may grant an unpaid leave of absence for a period not to exceed one (1) year. The employee shall provide substantiation to support the employee's request for an unpaid leave of absence.

  • Bereavement Leave of Absence An employee who has a bereavement in their immediate family will be granted up to and including five (5) days absence with pay. Immediate family means spouse (as defined in Section 1.03 of Appendix 2 (B)), parents, and child. For this provision “step” relationships are considered as immediate family. An employee who has a bereavement in their family will be granted up to and including three (3) days’ absence with pay. Family means brother, sister, parents-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, son-in-law and daughter-in-law. For this provision “step” relationships are considered as family. In the event of the death of an employee's brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grand parents-in- law, the employee will be given one (1) days' leave with pay to attend the funeral. An additional day's traveling time, in each direction, will be granted in order for the employee to attend the funeral if such is to be held in excess of 600 kilometers from the employees’ home.

  • Sick Leave Pay A Nurse granted sick leave shall be paid for the period of such leave at her or his regular hourly rate of pay and the number of hours thus paid shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave credits of the Nurse.
