Unit B. University and Senior Lecturers The following minimum monthly salary shall be paid to a University and Senior Lecturer who, as of September 1 of any Academic Year covered by this agreement has completed at least the following years of service and satisfies the indicated level of education. These minima shall apply pro rata to Employees on temporary appointments less than full-time. Unit B. The Board recognizes the Association as the exclusive representative of Unit B, which is defined as temporary, probationary, permanent adult education teachers, teacher on special assignmentsite supervisor, and teacher on special assignment – curriculum specialist for purposes of meeting and negotiating and excluding all other certificated employees covered in Unit A as well as teachers of fee based classes, management, supervisory, and confidential employees including counselors, psychologists, deans, teacher supervisors, and activity directors as well as summer school teachers, hourly driver training teachers, substitutes, and home teachers. The provisions of the Agreement, except Articles 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 20, and Appendixes A, B, C, D, and E, and/or those portions of the Articles expressly limited in Article 28, shall apply to Unit B.
Unit B. The computation for overload for Unit B lecturers will be paid after a maximum of 33 CUEs.
Unit B. All other administrative personnel and engineers employed in the Town of Belmont who work twenty-five (25) hours per week or more, excluding elected and appointed officials, department heads, the Secretary to the Select Board, the Assistant Town Clerk and professional and Library Staff.

  • UNIT WORK When the Employer deems it necessary in order to carry out a mission and operations of the campus, the Employer may contract out work provided that the contracting out does not displace bargaining unit employees or reduces their scheduled hours. The Maine Community College shall notify MSEA-SEIU when contracting out is to be implemented. MSEA-SEIU may request to meet and confer on the impact on contracting out such work. The Maine Community College shall meet with MSEA-SEIU within thirty (30) days of such request. Notice to MSEA-SEIU shall be not later than one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the commencement of the contracting out. In emergency circumstances, when the College enters into a contract under which contracting out will commence in less than thirty (30) days, when possible, notification shall be made two (2) weeks prior to implementing the contract, but in no event later than ten (10) working days after the commencement of the contracting out. Prior to the meeting and conferring on contracting out, the Maine Community College System will provide MSEA-SEIU all relevant written information, including copies of bids received, any cost analysis used by the College to evaluate the need for contracting out, and all other relevant material used by the College in making its decision regarding contracting out. Contracting out of the type of work normally performed by existing bargaining unit members for limited periods not to exceed six (6) months shall be allowed without the Union’s agreement if one or more of the following conditions are present at the affected campus or other non-campus location (such as the System Office in Augusta):

  • Unit Members Whenever used in this Agreement, the term “Employee” shall mean all classroom teachers (pre- K-12), counselors, librarians (and/or their successor job title and/or classification), psychologists, social workers, home and hospital teachers, department heads, master teachers, academic coaches, instructional associates, instructional support teachers, educational associates, speech/language speech-language pathologists, audiologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, facilitators, consulting teachers, IEP Team Associates, pupil personnel worker, teacher – mentor, teacher – staff developer, and art, music and physical education resource teachers.
