Summer School Teachers. Any teacher covered by this agreement employed to give instruction in summer school courses shall be paid 1/975 of regular annual salary for each hour of instruction.
Summer School Teachers. 401 Applications for summer school shall be filed by March 15, and assignments shall be made no later than May 1.
Summer School Teachers. The hourly rate for a Summer School teacher shall be 1/5 of the teacher's daily salary, which includes annual vacation and statutory holiday pay, for each hour of work. Work shall be defined as assigned hours of instruction, plus one-eighth (1/8) for preparation time.

Summer School Teachers. 1. Summer school teaching and any day worked for which the teacher is not regularly assigned as a classroom teacher (i.e., registration, proctoring of exams) will be paid on the basis of .0035 of the salary (for summer school teachers will be .0075 of the minimum base teacher’s salary Bachelor’s Degree – no experience) for three teaching periods per day for a maximum of 30 days. Any workday of less than normal (three class periods per day for a maximum of 90 minutes each) will be paid on a prorated basis. No summer school teacher will teach more than two ninety-minute class periods or the equivalent thereof if there is a District teacher on the waiting list in that particular discipline.
2. All teachers contracted for scheduled courses will be paid the contracted amount regardless of registration.
3. Teachers of summer school will be granted two days for the summer session for personal illness, death in the family, or serious illness or injury requiring bedside or household attention by the teacher, the teacher’s spouse, domestic partner, child or other member of the teacher’s, spouse’s, or domestic partner’s immediate family, irrespective of residence. Such days shall be cumulative up to five (5) days. The Superintendent may request verification of any illness.
4. Teachers with five (5) consecutive years of summer school experience may, with the approval of the Superintendent, be granted a one-summer leave of absence. Upon their return, such teachers will fill the same position in summer school as they had prior to the leave of absence if it is available.
Summer School Teachers. A. Information relative to summer school teaching positions available each year shall be distributed by the Division of Human Resources, within the District six (6) weeks prior to the last instructional day of the current school year. This information shall include all District-required duties, programs, and assessments that are relevant to the teaching assignment. This information shall be distributed to each site and shall be posted in a conspicuous place on a bulletin board at each respective site. A deadline shall be advertised for the filing of applications from teachers for all such summer school teaching jobs.
B. Appropriate summer school teaching position application forms will be accessible online for all interested teachers. Completed applications shall be filed directly with the Division of Human Resources by the deadline date as indicated on the application.
C. Selection and appointment of District summer school personnel shall be the direct responsibility of the Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources or his or her designee in compliance with this article. Selections will be made and announced at least two (2) weeks prior to the last instructional day of the current school year.
D. Regularly employed teachers of the District shall be given preference over teachers outside the District for summer school placement. The order of preference shall be Permanent, Probationary, Temporary, Substitute, and outside candidates. A current satisfactory evaluation of regular teaching performance is required for consideration for summer school teaching assignments. It is understood that the latest evaluation received by the teacher is the basis of determining satisfactory status.
E. Teachers selected to teach summer school, shall teach no more than two consecutive years in a row. The only exception to this provision would be if no other teachers within the District who have applied are qualified to teach for a particular summer school teaching job, and a vacancy still remains to be filled. The intent of the section is to periodically rotate summer school teaching positions among all qualified applicants.
F. Regular and Special Education Summer School Teachers, Counselors, and Nurses shall be required to work up to five (5) day workweek with the following minutes per summer school day: At the Elementary School Level - 325 minutes. Summer School Teachers. Summer school is construed to be a program occurring subsequent to the normal school year.
Summer School Teachers. Summer school teacher(s) shall be paid according to the previous school year's base salary (Col. 1-Step 0). The base amount shall be converted to an hourly rate, based on an eight (8) hour day.
Summer School Teachers who are appointed to teach in the district’s summer school program, shall be compensated per hour worked in accordance with the below listed rates:
