Use of Other Accrued Leaves While on Leave. If a unit member uses leave for any reason permitted in Section 8.5.3a-c, he/she must concurrently exhaust all other accrued leaves (except sick leave) in connection with the leave. The exhaustion of other accrued leaves will run concurrently with the leave. If a unit member requests leave for his/her own serious health condition (8.5.3d), in addition to concurrently exhausting other accrued leaves, the unit member must also concurrently exhaust sick leave.
