Use of Other Accrued Leaves While on Leave. A member must exhaust their accrued paid leave (e.g., vacation, sick, compensatory time) concurrently with FMLA/CFRA leave to the same extent members have the right to use their accrued paid leaves concurrently with FMLA/CFRA leave. If a member uses leave for any reason which is FMLA/CFRA-qualifying, the District will designate that non-FMLA/CFRA leave as running concurrently with the member’s 12 (or 26) week FMLA/CFRA leave entitlement.
Use of Other Accrued Leaves While on Leave. If a unit member uses leave for any reason permitted in Section 8.5.3a-c, he/she must concurrently exhaust all other accrued leaves (except sick leave) in connection with the leave. The exhaustion of other accrued leaves will run concurrently with the leave. If a unit member requests leave for his/her own serious health condition (8.5.3d), in addition to concurrently exhausting other accrued leaves, the unit member must also concurrently exhaust sick leave.
Use of Other Accrued Leaves While on Leave. Unpaid family leave pursuant to this section shall run concurrently with available paid leaves. If a unit member requests leave for any reason permitted in Section 13-18.2, he/she must exhaust all available paid leaves (except sick leave and extended illness leave) in connection with the family leave. If a member requests leave for his/her own serious health condition, in addition to exhausting all available paid leaves, the unit member must also exhaust sick leave and extended illness leave.
