Use of Vacancies. To the extent possible, the Agency will not fill a vacant bargaining unit position within the organizational unit in which the RIF is taking place until it has considered all reasonable alternatives to reduce the adverse effects on bargaining unit employees who are to be displaced as a result of the RIF. In considering these alternatives, the Agency will review the possibility and feasibility of redesigning vacant positions.

Use of Vacancies. To the extent possible, USMEPCOM will not fill a vacant bargaining unit position within the organizational unit in which the RIF is taking place until it has considered all reasonable alternatives to reduce the adverse effects on employees who are to be displaced as a result of the RIF. In considering these alternatives, USMEPCOM will review the possibility and feasibility of restructuring vacant positions.
Use of Vacancies. The Employer at its discretion may use vacancies to place employees who would otherwise be separated in a RIF action.

  • Notification of Vacancies A laid off employee shall be notified by certified mail of an appropriate vacancy, sent to the employee’s address on file in the office of the Executive Director for Human Resources Management. An employee’s failure to respond affirmatively in writing within five calendar days after receipt of the Employer’s letter shall cause loss of recall rights.

  • Filling of Vacancies In the case of any increase in the number of Managers, or of any vacancy in the Board of Managers, the additional Manager shall be appointed by the Beneficial Owner.

  • Posting of Vacancies At the point the Department proceeds to fill a vacant position by open competition, lateral transfer or promotion, such information will be publicized within the Department for a minimum of five (5) working days.
