Verifiable military experience. 5. The Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent will negotiate the salary of all newly hired teachers with previous experience. Experience will be evaluated and credit will be allowed for prior teaching experience. The base salary will be determined at the time of hiring. A newly hired teacher shall be placed in the column and row that corresponds to the teacher’s education and experience. The Superintendent has the discretion to place the new teacher one to five rows higher based on the needs of the corporation. Any exceptions to the salary schedule will be discussed with MSDWCEA representation.

  • Military Experience If honorably discharged, including a general discharge under honorable conditions, credit for pay purposes shall be granted for up to four years of active military duty in the armed forces of the United States of America. This credit will be granted upon receipt of the employee’s DD 214 by Employment Services.

  • Payment of Extraordinary Education Related Expenses Section 5.1. PAYMENT OF EXTRAORDINARY EDUCATION-RELATED EXPENSES. In addition to the amounts determined pursuant to Articles IV and VI of this Agreement, Applicant on an annual basis shall also indemnify and reimburse District for all non-reimbursed costs, certified by the District’s external auditor to have been incurred by the District for extraordinary education-related expenses directly and solely related to the project that are not directly funded in state aid formulas, including expenses for the purchase of portable classrooms and the hiring of additional personnel to accommodate a temporary increase in student enrollment caused directly by such project. Applicant shall have the right to contest the findings of the District’s external auditor pursuant to Section 4.9 above.
