Visiting Professors. The President in consultation with the Xxxx and Faculty may accept offers from persons not employed by AST to teach up to two courses in a single academic year. Such persons will not receive compensation from AST, but may be furnished with an office and equipment at the discretion of the Employer. It is agreed by the parties to this Agreement that the appointment of Visiting Professors may be used to fill in for course releases or sabbaticals. No person shall be appointed as a Visiting Professor for more than twelve consecutive months.

Visiting Professors. Full- time visiting professors of any rank are limited to two courses per semester and no more than 12 credits per year for a maximum of 2 years or 3 years if funded by a grant. The maximum number of courses taught by all visiting professors in ag- gregate shall be no more than 20 courses with no more than 10 courses within any one faculty in any academic year.

Visiting Professors. On the recommendation of the Department/School, an academic at another institution who plans to visit Acadia for a period of time, may be appointed as a Visiting Professor. The Department shall make the recommendation to the Xxxx of the Faculty, specifying the period of time for such an appointment. Along with its recommendation, the Department will provide the Xxxx with a copy of the nominee's curriculum vitae and a proposed research plan. The Department is expected to provide the visitor with (shared) office facilities, and some courtesies such as use of a mailing address, and perhaps some secretarial support. The Department will provide Visiting Professors with a computer account and e-mail privileges, as well as borrowing privileges at the Xxxxxxx Memorial Library through a temporary user card. The Xxxx, upon approval by the Vice-President Academic, shall send the required letter of invitation, with copies to the Vice-President Academic and President.

  • Paraprofessionals Paraprofessionals employed by the School shall meet all credentialing requirements imposed by applicable federal and state law, rules and regulations (unless waived).

  • Scope of Professional Services 3.1 On the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement, COUNTY hereby engages CONTRACTOR to provide all labor, materials and equipment to complete the Project/Service in accordance with the Scope of Services, attached hereto and incorporated herein as Attachment A, as modified or clarified by Addendum(s) # , dated , attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Attachment B. It is understood that the Scope of Services may be modified by change order as the Project/Service progresses, but to be effective and binding, any such change order must be in writing, executed by the parties, and in accordance with the COUNTY’s Purchasing Policies and Procedures.   • Outside Professional Activities (a) For the purpose of this article, "outside professional activities" means participation in the activities of professional associations, learned societies, faculty associations, or voluntary practice of the employee’s profession, which support and/or promote the advancement of research, scholarship, teaching, artistic creation, or professional development, and improve the working conditions of academic staff.
