Volunteer Service Leave. It is recognized that employees who volunteer for duty as a volunteer firefighter or emergency measures organization volunteer shall be permitted to be absent from work to provide volunteer service during normal working hours. Notwithstanding the previous sentence, operational requirements permitting, shift employees may be permitted to be absent from work to provide volunteer services during normal working hours.

Volunteer Service Leave. The President, in their discretion, may approve an employee’s request for paid volunteer service leave of up to one week (37.5 hours) per fiscal year to perform volunteer service that is consistent with the mission of the college. The President’s decision shall be in writing and shall be provided to the employee and the Federation within ten (10) business days of receipt of the request. The President’s decision shall be final and may not be grieved.
Volunteer Service Leave. Employees who are members of the CFA, SES or similar organisations may be released from duty to attend emergency situations requiring the services of the organisation and its members. Such release from duty will be unpaid. Provided that Epworth HealthCare may refuse time release where an employee's absence will adversely impact on the capacity of Epworth HealthCare to maintain patient/client services.

  • Long Service Leave All employees shall be entitled to long service leave in accordance with the relevant State Legislation. The employer will ensure that any registration necessary for the purposes of portable long service schemes will be undertaken.

  • Citizen Volunteer or Community Service Leave Leave without pay may be granted for community volunteerism or service.

  • Community Service Leave Community service leave is provided for in the NES.

  • Jury Service Leave 44.1 An employee required to attend for jury service will be entitled to have their pay made up by the employer to equal their ordinary rate for eight (8) hours (inclusive of accrued entitlements prescribed by Clause 31 – Hours of work) per day plus fares whilst meeting this requirement. The employee will give the employer proof of such attendance and the amount received in respect of such jury service.
