WEEKDAY HOLIDAY REDUCTION. In weeks with weekday holidays, the working hours for the individual employee are reduced by a number of hours for each weekday holiday (New Year's Day, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, Great Prayer Day, Ascension Day, Whit Sunday, Whit Monday, 1st Christ- mas Dax xxx 2nd Christmas Day as well as Constitution Day and the day of Christmas Eve). The reduction is proportionate to the employee's average weekly working hours, so that for employees with average weekly working hours of: over 10 hours there is a reduction of 3.5 hours over 20 hours there is a reduction of 4.5 hours over 25 hours there is a reduction of 5.5 hours over 30 hours there is a reduction of 7.0 hours 37 hours there is a reduction of 7.5 hours per weekday holiday, Constitution Day or the day of Christmas Eve in that week or plan period. For flexible part-time employment, cf. Section 1(1)(A)(1.3), with the working time interval of 8-15 hours on average per week, there shall be a reduction of 2 hours per weekday holiday, Constitution Day and Christmas Eve. For flexible part-time employment, cf. section 1(1)(A)(1.3), with the working time interval of 13-20 hours on average per week, there shall be a reduction of 3.5 hours per weekday holiday, Constitution Day and Christmas Eve. If the shop closes earlier than normal on New Year's Eve, the working hours for the individual employee must be reduced by the number of hours the shop closes earlier than normal on this weekday.

This reduction is proportionate to the employee’s average weekly working hours, so that the working hours of employees with average weekly working hours of: over 10 hours are reduced by 3.5 hours over 20 hours are reduced by 4.5 hours over 25 hours are reduced by 5.5 hours over 30 hours are reduced by 7.0 hours 37 hours are reduced by 7.5 hours per weekday holiday, Constitution Day or Christmas Eve in the week or schedule period concerned. If the shop closes earlier than normal on New Year’s Eve, the working hours for the individual employee shall be reduced by the number of hours earlier than normal that the shop is closing on this weekday.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.

  • Paid Holiday Bank Employees qualify in accordance with the collective agreement. The paid holidays are identified in the Collective Agreement. Credit to the paid holiday bank will occur on the date of the holiday. Drawing from the paid holiday bank will occur at an accelerated rate of 1.25 hours paid for every hour taken (i.e. 11.25 hours worked equals 14.05 hours paid; 7.5 hours worked equals 9.375 hours paid).

  • Paid Holiday Pay Payment for holidays will be made at an employee’s basic pay, except if an employee has been working in a higher paid position than her regular position for a majority of the sixty (60) working days preceding her holiday, in which case she shall receive the higher pay.

  • Statutory Holiday Pay Employees who qualify for statutory holiday pay shall be paid an average day's pay on the Statutory Holidays above, based on the following: amount paid / days worked. “Amount paid” is the amount earned by the employee for work done during the thirty (30) calendars day period preceding the statutory holiday, including vacation pay but excluding overtime pay. “Days worked” is the number of days the employee worked or earned wages during that thirty (30) calendar day period.

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day (December 25) Boxing Day (December 26) In addition to the above noted holidays, full-time employees will be eligible for two (2) floating holidays. The float holiday will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time prior to the end of the calendar year.

  • Statutory Holiday All time worked on such Statutory Holidays as are provided for in this Agreement shall be considered as overtime and shall be paid at two hundred percent (200%) of the employee's regular straight-time rate, or the employee may elect to be paid straight-time rates for the overtime hours and take an equal number of hours as time off. Such time off must be taken according to a schedule acceptable to the employee's Supervisor within thirty (30) days of the end of the pay period in which the overtime was worked.

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday (a) For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays fall on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; and when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.
