Paid Holiday Bank. Employees qualify in accordance with the collective agreement. The paid holidays are identified in the Collective Agreement. Credit to the paid holiday bank will occur on the date of the holiday. Drawing from the paid holiday bank will occur at an accelerated rate of 1.25 hours paid for every hour taken (i.e. 11.25 hours worked equals 14.05 hours paid; 7.5 hours worked equals 9.375 hours paid).

If an employee works on a paid holiday as defined by the Collective Agreement, she or he will receive one and one-half (1 ½) hours pay for all hours worked on a holiday. Paid Holiday Bank. (a) When a full-time nurse changes status to a weekend worker, said nurse’s paid holidays earned according to H-1, but not yet taken will be transferred to her paid holiday bank to be utilized in accordance with Article 13.04 (b) (c) (d) (i).
(b) Should the Weekend Worker revert back to regular full-time status, any earned paid holiday in the paid holiday bank will transfer with the nurse’s move to regular full-time status.

Paid Holiday Bank. Nurses who fill weekend worker positions will be allowed to carry over their paid holiday bank credits accumulated at the time of their filing the weekend worker position. Nurses may accumulate credits in their paid holiday bank equivalent to the credits normally accumulated in a period of up to eighteen months (18 x 7.5 hour days.) Credits exceeding eighteen (18) days will be paid out to the nurse. Upon leaving the weekend worker position, the nurse will be allowed to carry over their paid holiday bank.
Paid Holiday Bank i) A nurse’s paid holidays earned but not yet taken will be transferred to her paid holiday bank to be utilized in accordance with Article 13.04 (b) (c) (d) (i).
ii) Drawing from the holiday bank will occur at an accelerated rate of 1.25 hours for every hour taken.
iii) If a nurse works on a paid holiday, she or he will receive one and one-half (1 ½) pay for all hours worked on a holiday. The nurse will not receive a lieu day.
iv) The holiday bank can be used as income replacement for absences due to illness or for lieu time off on a weekday.

Drawing from the paid holiday bank will occur at an accelerated rate of one and one quarter (1.25) hours paid for every hour taken (i.e. 11.25 hours worked equals 14.05 hours paid; 7.5 hours worked equals 9.375 hours paid).
Paid Holiday Bank i) The paid holiday provisions of Article 15 will apply except to the extent that payment for holiday lieu days will be 11.25 hours worked equals 14.05 hours paid lieu time; 7.5 hours worked equals 9.375 hours paid lieu time.
ii) When a paid holiday outlined in Article 15.01 fall on a Saturday or Sunday the Employee working the weekend position will be paid one and one-half times (1½x) her regular straight time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked on the paid holiday. In addition, she/he will receive a lieu day off at her/his regular rate of pay as per i) above.
iii) Full-time weekend workers are entitled to float holidays pursuant to Article 15.01 and can take their float holiday either on a weekend shift or during the week.
iv) An employee who is not scheduled to work on a statutory holiday will have her lieu time scheduled in the same period in which the statutory holiday falls.
