Weekend Guard/Standby Duty. Beginning the first week of July and until Labour Day each year, each volunteer and composite station shall assign two volunteers to be on Weekend Guard duty at a time. Weekend Guard shall commence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and conclude on 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Weekend Guard will be extended to include public holidays when such holidays occur on a Friday or Monday. Each shift of weekend guard shall be twenty-four (24) hours long, and generally only one volunteer assigned to each shift. The Captains at the volunteer and composite stations shall assign which volunteers shall serve but the volunteers assigned must possess a valid DZ license and shall not be a probationary volunteer firefighter. Payment for weekend guard shall be at the flat rate, per day, as identified in Schedule “A”, above. The above shall not apply at Copper Cliff (Station #5), unless or until the Employer decides to introduce weekend coverage at that station. In the event that the Fire Chief determines that a station or district need provide stand-by duty for any other reason, the provisions above shall apply.

  • Minimum Vendor Legal Requirements Vendor shall remain aware of and comply with this Agreement and all local, state, and federal laws governing the sale of products/services offered by Vendor under this contract.   • Holiday Rules The following rules apply to all holidays except the personal holiday:

  • Technical Requirements 2.7.4.1 The NID shall provide an accessible point of interconnection and shall maintain a connection to ground.

  • CHILD BONDING LEAVE A prospective father, spouse, domestic partner or adoptive parent is entitled to child bonding leave of up to six (6) months. Child bonding leave must be taken within one (1) year of the qualifying event. Child bonding leave runs concurrent with FMLA/CFRA. The scheduling of child bonding leave (either on FMLA or CFRA) on an intermittent basis and/or requests for a reduced work schedule are subject to mutual agreement by the employee and the Agency/Department Head as allowed by law. Such an employee may elect to take accrued vacation or compensating time off during the period of child bonding leave except that in the case of an employee who is regularly scheduled to work less than the normal full-time workweek for the classification, paid leave shall be granted only for those days, or fractions thereof, on which such an employee would have worked but for child bonding leave. The use of sick leave during child bonding leave shall not be permitted to fathers, domestic partners or adoptive parents unless they are otherwise eligible to use it as provided in Administrative Code Chapter 3-20. Reinstatement subsequent to child bonding leave of absence shall be to the same classification from which leave was taken and the Department Head shall make his/her best effort to return such employee to the same geographical location, shift, and where there is specialization within a classification, to the same specialization. Questions as to whether or not the Department Head has made his/her best effort herein, shall not be subject to the grievance procedure.

  • Public Holiday Work (a) For Employees other than Shiftworkers, double time and a half must be paid for any Public Holiday Work with a minimum payment of four hours.

  • DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS Contractor will comply with the requirements of the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1990 and will provide a drug-free workplace by taking the following actions:
