Workweek and Duties. The standard work load as defined in this Article includes the scope of assigned teaching and non-teaching duties of a Unit Member, except wherein specifically established in this Article as not being a part of a Standard Work Load. Furthermore, nothing except in Paragraph VIII G (overload assignment) of this Article shall constrain a Unit Member from volunteering to perform additional service without compensation from the District. Full-time Unit Members shall be available for instructional assignments, district and department meetings, Unit (division) meetings, and for Shared Governance responsibilities five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday, although teaching assignments may be less than five (5) days per week. Saturday duties shall only be by mutual agreement between the Unit Member and the District. Full-time Instructional Unit Members shall work 30 hours per week to perform those tasks related to their assignments. Said tasks shall include the following Representative Duties as outlined in VIII B 2.b.

Workweek and Duties. The normal workweek shall be Thursday through Wednesday for all shifts. It is the intent of the Authority to provide two days off after working five consecutive days in any workweek, but supervisors shall only be guaranteed one day off after working five consecutive days in any workweek. Supervisors working in excess of eight consecutive hours per day shall be provided with overtime compensation at time and one- half their regular base rate of pay. In cases of rotating shifts when an supervisor's work schedule provides for the need to work two non-consecutive eight hour work shifts on any given calendar day in order to effectuate the rotation, this shall be considered two straight time work days and overtime compensation will not be provided. Supervisors for the Collection and Electrical/Maintenance departments will establish a schedule to ensure that coverage is provided in their departments until at least 16:00 hours. Monday through Friday and that pagers are rotated among personnel to allow for response to emergency calls. The Laboratory Manager shall work four 10-hour days at his/her regular base pay. If the Laboratory Manager is required to work in excess of ten consecutive hours per day than he/she shall be provided with overtime compensation at time and one-half his/her regular base rate of pay. See Appendix “C” for Hours-Of-Work summary. During the workday, supervisors shall be entitled to a one hour lunch period and two fifteen minute rest periods, one in the first half of the shift and one in the second half of the shift at a time which will not adversely affect the Authority’s operations.

  • SCOPE AND DUTIES Client hires Attorney for the purpose of domestic relations litigation. Attorney shall provide those legal services reasonably required to represent Client, and shall take reasonable steps to keep Client informed of progress and to respond to Client’s inquiries. Client shall be truthful with Attorney, cooperate in the preparation and trial of the case, appear on reasonable notice for depositions and Court appearances, keep Attorney informed of developments, abide by this Agreement, pay Attorney’s bills on time and keep Attorney advised of Client’s address, telephone number, and whereabouts. Client agrees not to compromise the claim without discussing the matter with Attorney, in advance, and Attorney is not authorized to compromise the claim without Client’s consent. OTHER TERMS: None.

  • Employment and Duties (a) The Company hereby employs Executive as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
