Cafeteria employees are required to report to work one (1) scheduled day before school opens. • If teacher aides and bus attendants are required to report to work in excess of 181 days they will be entitled to their normal per diem for each day of service beyond 181 days. • If teaching assistants are required to work in excess of 185 days, they will be entitled to their normal per diem for each day of service beyond 185 days. • Basis of pay includes snow days and give back days for unused snow days. 3. The above is not to be considered as a guarantee of workdays and hours for all Employees. 4. The workday will include a one half (1/2) hour duty free lunch break without pay for any Employee who works more than four (4) hours per day.

  • Work Year The full-time work year for all employees employed in EA and ECE job classes shall be a minimum of 194 work days to correspond with the school year calendar.

  • Workdays All workdays when the central and administrative offices are open shall be duty days for members employed on a twelve-month basis. All student days, when the schools are open, shall be duty days for members employed on a ten-month basis.

  • Workday The length of the workday shall be designated by the District for each classified assignment in accordance with the provisions set forth in this Agreement. Each bargaining unit employee shall be assigned a fixed, regular, and ascertainable minimum number of hours.

  • Shift Work Shift work is work not in excess of ordinary hours (ie 38 hours per week), but carried out wholly or partly between the hours of 7.00pm and 7.00am, Monday to Friday. Shift work is work scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the shift. Employees required to work shift work will be paid at time and one quarter of the ordinary rate per hour for ordinary hours worked.

  • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority. If there is a change in their workweek, employees will be given written notification by the appointing authority or their designee.

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Regular Work Week The regular work week shall be any five (5) consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday, for a total regular work week of forty (40) working hours, subject to the applicable premiums where provided for in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, employees may volunteer to work schedules that fall outside of the regular work week of Sunday through Saturday and may do so, upon approval by the Company, and with no penalty cost to the Company, but with applicable premiums as provided for in this Agreement.

  • Workday and Workweek The regular workweek of a full-time employee in the bargaining unit shall be forty (40) hours and shall consist of five (5) consecutive days of eight (8) hours per day.

  • Regular Work Day A regular work day shall consist of six and one-half (6½) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • Length of Work Year 1. The length of the work year for custodians, accountants, (excluding school lunch accountant), personnel specialist, maintenance, maintenance helpers, mechanics, purchasing coordinator, county receptionist, warehouse and property records coordinator shall be twelve months. 2. The length of the work year for attendance assistant and bus drivers shall be 188 days. 3. The length of the work year for school food service shall be 194 days.
