Interconnection Request definition

Interconnection Request means an applicant's request, in a form approved by the Commission, for interconnection of a new distributed generation facility or to change the capacity or other operating characteristics of an existing distributed generation facility already interconnected with the electric distribution system.
Interconnection Request means the Interconnection Customer’s request to interconnect a new Generating Facility, increase the Generation Capacity of, or make a Material Modification to the operating characteristics of an existing Generating Facility that is interconnected with the Public Utility. The Interconnection Request includes all required applications, forms, processing fees and/or deposits required by the Public Utility.

Interconnection Request. The Interconnection Customer’s request, in accordance with the Tariff, to interconnect a new Small Generating Facility, or to increase the capacity of, or make a material modification to the operating characteristics of, an existing Small Generating Facility that is interconnected with the New York State Transmission System or the Distribution System. For the purposes of this Agreement, this definition of Interconnection Request shall supersede the definition of Interconnection Request set out in Attachment X to the NYISO OATT. Interconnection Study – Any study required to be performed under Sections 32.2 or 32.3 of the SGIP. Interim Constrained Operation - Operation of the Interconnection Customer Small Generating Facility (Steel Winds II) and Niagara Wind Power, LLC existing wind facility (Steel Winds I) during the Interim Constrained Operation Period such that the combined export of the Steel Winds I and Steel Winds II facilities is limited to a maximum of 10 MW on each of the Connecting Transmission Owner’s Lines 149 and 150.
Interconnection Request means the IC's request, in accordance with this chapter, to interconnect a new small generating facility, or to increase the capacity of, or make a material modification to the operating characteristics of, an existing small generating facility that is interconnected with the utility system.

Interconnection Request. The Interconnection Member’s request, in accordance with the interconnection procedures, to interconnect a new Distributed Resource Generating Facility, or to increase the capacity of, or make a Material Modification to, an existing Generating Facility that is interconnected with the Cooperative’s System. Material Modification – A modification to machine data or equipment configuration or to the interconnection site of the Generating Facility that has a material impact on the cost, timing or design of any Interconnection Facilities or Upgrades. Network Upgrades – Additions, modifications, and upgrades to the Cooperative's Transmission System required to accommodate the interconnection of the Generating Facility to the Cooperative’s System. Network Upgrades do not include Distribution Upgrades. Upgrades of this sort may be required for Generating Systems greater than 500kW but less than 10 MVA / 10 MW. Operating Requirements – Any operating and technical requirements that may be applicable due to Regional Reliability Organization, Independent System Operator, control area, or the Cooperative’s requirements, including those set forth in the Interconnection Agreement. Party or Parties – The Cooperative, Interconnection Member, and possibly the owner of an Affected System, or any combination of the above. Point of Interconnection – The point where the Interconnection Facilities connect with the Cooperative’s System. Prudent Utility Practice (PUP) – Any of the practices, methods and acts engaged in or approved by a significant portion of the electric industry during the relevant time period, or any of the practices, methods and acts which, in the exercise of reasonable judgment in light of the facts known at the time the decision was made, could have been expected to accomplish the desired result at a reasonable cost consistent with good business practices, reliability, safety and expedition. PUP is not intended to be limited to the optimum practice, method, or act to the exclusion of all others, but rather to be acceptable practices, methods, or acts generally accepted in the region and the utility industry.
Interconnection Request. The Interconnection Request (a) shall mean an Interconnection Customer's request, in accordance with the Tariff, to: (i) interconnect a new Generating Facility to the Administered Transmission System as either a CNR or a NR; (ii) make a Material Modification to a proposed Generating Facility with an outstanding Interconnection Request; (iii) increase the energy capability or capacity capability of or add energy storage capability to the Small Generating Facility above that specified in an Interconnection Request, an existing Interconnection Agreement (whether executed or filed in unexecuted form with the Commission), or as established pursuant to 1.6.4 of this SGIP; (iv) make a modification to the operating characteristics of an existing Generating Facility, including its Interconnection Facilities, that is interconnected to the Administered Transmission System; (v) commence participation in the wholesale markets by an existing Generating Facility that is interconnected with the Administered Transmission System; or (vi) change from NR Interconnection Service to CNR Interconnection Service for all or part of a Generating Facility’s capability. Interconnection Request shall not include: (i) a retail customer interconnecting a new Generating Facility that will produce electric energy to be consumed only on the retail customer’s site; (ii) a request to interconnect a new Generating Facility to a distribution facility that is subject to the Tariff if the Generating Facility will not be used to make wholesale sales of electricity in interstate commerce; or (iii) a request to interconnect a Qualifying Facility (as defined by the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, as amended by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and the regulations thereto), where the Qualifying Facility’s owner intent is to sell 100% of the Qualifying Facility’s output to its interconnected electric utility. Interconnection Service – The service provided by the System Operator and the Interconnecting Transmission Owner, associated with interconnecting the Interconnection Customer’s Generating Facility to the Administered Transmission System and enabling the receipt of electric energy capability and/or capacity capability from the Generating Facility at the Point of Interconnection, pursuant to the terms of the Standard Small Generator Interconnection Agreement and, if applicable, the Tariff.
