Internal control means a process effected by an entity's governing board, management, and other personnel, designed to provide reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of objectives in the following categories:
external company means a foreign company that is carrying on business, or non-profit activities, as the case may be, within the Republic, subject to section 23(2);
Internal Controls has the meaning set forth in Section 4.07(d).
Internal Systems means the internal systems of each of the Corporation that are presently used in its Business or operations, including, computer hardware systems, software applications and embedded systems.
Internal combustion engine or ‘engine’ means an energy converter, other than a gas turbine, designed to transform chemical energy (input) into mechanical energy (output) with an internal combustion process; it includes, where they have been installed, the emission control system and the communication interface (hardware and messages) between the engine's electronic control unit(s) and any other powertrain or non-road mobile machinery control unit necessary to comply with Chapters II and III;
public service infrastructure means publicly controlled infrastructure of the following kinds:
Infrastructure means infrastructure serving the County and improved or unimproved real estate and personal property, including machinery and equipment, used in the operation of the Project, within the meaning of Section 4-29-68 of the Code.
Regional Center means a diagnostic, counseling, and service coordination center for developmentally disabled persons and their families which is established and operated pursuant to the Welfare and Institutions Code, Sections 4620 through 4669, by a private nonprofit community agency or corporation acting as a contracting agency. As used in these regulations, any reference to the regional center shall, by reference, be applicable to those agencies or persons with which the regional center contracts to provide service coordination to consumers under the provisions of the Welfare and Institutions Code, Section 4648;
Internal Costs means as defined in paragraph 1.1 of Schedule 4 (Heads of Expenditure) (and shall, for the avoidance of doubt, not include any revenue costs or capital investment relating to the implementation of any project pursuant to an Annual Business Plan) and excluding Joint Committee Costs
Systems means servers, hardware systems, databases, circuits, networks and other computer and telecommunications assets and equipment.
SITC means the Standard International Trade Classification, Revision 3 (SITC, Rev. 3), published by the United Nations in Statistical Papers, Series M, No. 34/Rev. 3 (1986);
Green building strategies means those strategies that minimize the impact of development on the environment, and enhance the health, safety and well-being of residents by producing durable, low-maintenance, resource-efficient housing while making optimum use of existing infrastructure and community services.
City’s Site means any land and/or premises owned by the City on which or in respect of which the Services are performed by the Consultant;
Internal floating roof means a cover or roof in a fixed-roof tank that rests upon or is floated upon, the liquid being contained, and is equipped with a closure seal or seals to close the space between the roof edge and the tank shell.
Beam monitoring system means a system designed and installed in the radiation head to detect and measure the radiation present in the useful beam.
Internal Collaboration means collaborative arrangements within a group of companies or within various strategic business. units/subsidiaries/operating divisions in order to gain a strategic position whilst sharing resources, profits and losses as well as risks
Limited common areas and facilities means those common areas and facilities
Public water system means a system for the provision of water for human consumption through pipes or other constructed conveyances that has 15 or more service connections or regularly serves at least 25 individuals daily at least 60 days out of the year.
Public building and "public work" means a public building of, and a public work of, a governmental entity (the United States; the District of Columbia; commonwealths, territories, and minor outlying islands of the United States; State and local governments; and multi-State, regional, or interstate entities which have governmental functions). These buildings and works may include, without limitation, bridges, dams, plants, highways, parkways, streets, subways, tunnels, sewers, mains, power lines, pumping stations, heavy generators, railways, airports, terminals, docks, piers, wharves, ways, lighthouses, buoys, jetties, breakwaters, levees, and canals, and the construction, alteration, maintenance, or repair of such buildings and works.
Historic building means a building, including its structural components, that is located in this state and that is either individually listed on the national register of historic places under 16 U.S.C. 470a, located in a registered historic district, and certified by the state historic preservation officer as being of historic significance to the district, or is individually listed as an historic landmark designated by a local government certified under 16 U.S.C. 470a(c).
Isocenter means the center of the sphere through which the useful beam axis passes while the gantry moves through its full range of motions.
Rape Crisis Center means an office, institution, or center offering assistance to victims of sexual offenses through crisis intervention, medical and legal information, and follow-up counseling.
Building Systems means any electrical, mechanical, structural, plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, sprinkler, life safety or security systems serving the Building.
Youth center means any public or private facility that is primarily used to host recreational or social activities for minors, including, but not limited to, private youth membership organizations or clubs, social service teenage club facilities, video arcades, or similar amusement park facilities.
External floating roof means a storage vessel cover in an open tank top consisting of a double deck or pontoon single deck which rests upon and is supported by the petroleum liquid being contained and is equipped with a closure seal or seals to close the space between the roof edge and tank shell.
External Manager means either of the following: (1) A person who is seeking to be, or is, retained by a board or an investment vehicle to manage a portfolio of securities or other assets for compensation, or (2) A person who manages an investment fund and who offers or sells, or has offered or sold, an ownership interest in the investment fund to a board or an investment vehicle.
