Ordinary Wage Rate definition

Ordinary Wage Rate means the Wage Rate payable for all Rostered Hours of Work, plus a component for penalty rates.
Ordinary Wage Rate means the wage an employee receives for the classification of work performed set out in clause 4.1.2 during their ordinary hours of work.
Ordinary Wage Rate means the weekly rate determined by multiplying the Base Wage Rate by the applicable Annualised Leave Loading (refer to subclause 6.8.8) plus any allowances which are expressly specified under this Agreement to be part of the Ordinary Wage Rate (i.e. other allowances as nominated by the PTA; where these are applicable to an occupational group under this Agreement).

Examples of Ordinary Wage Rate in a sentence

  • If a public holiday falls on a day on which an Employee is not rostered for work, the Employee will be paid an additional eight hours pay at the Employee’s Ordinary Wage Rate.

  • Leave of absence will be granted at the Ordinary Wage Rate, or where the Employee works part of a shift, at the rate the Employee would have earned had the Employee not been absent from their Rostered Shift.

  • Any time worked on Saturday and Sunday is considered additional hours for the purposes of this sub-clause and is paid at weekend overtime rates of double the hourly Ordinary Wage Rate from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday.

  • An Employee may be required to work on a public holiday and in these circumstances the Employee’s remuneration shall be adjusted so the Employee receives in total double time and a half of the Ordinary Wage Rate for each hour worked.

  • All time worked on shifts except the day shift shall be paid at the rate of time and a quarter (1.25) times the hourly Ordinary Wage Rate, for the first eight hours of the shift, and at the rate of time and a half thereafter.


More Definitions of Ordinary Wage Rate

Ordinary Wage Rate means the actual ordinary rate of pay the employee receives for ordinary hours of work performed, excluding overtime, annual leave loadings, shift allowances, loading, other penalty rates, allowances, fares and travelling time and other payments including bonuses and over-award payments.
