Ordinary Rate of Pay. A reference in these provisions to a staff member’s ordinary rate of pay is a reference to the staff member’s rate of pay as at the relevant date (date of commencement of a period of long service leave) exclusive of overtime, shift premiums and penalty rates but this definition is subject to the following qualifications:
a) if the staff member is employed on commission or on any other system of payment by result, the staff member's ordinary rate of pay will be ascertained by averaging the staff member's weekly earnings over the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the relevant date; and
b) for casual staff the ordinary rate of pay will be ascertained by averaging the number of hours worked per week in a period not greater than three (3) years preceding the relevant date and multiplying that result by the staff member’s rate of pay per hour as at the relevant date, exclusive of overtime, shift premiums and penalty rates (and for the purposes of this paragraph a person who is employed on a casual basis is not to be regarded as being paid at a penalty rate).
Ordinary Rate of Pay. (1) For the purpose of calculating overtime payment and payment for work performed on scheduled rest days or gazetted public holidays, the formulae for calculating the “ordinary rate of pay” are as follows:
Ordinary Rate of Pay. (a) The Ordinary Rate of Pay applies for the 38 ordinary hours each week on average. The Base Hourly Rate x 38 ordinary hours is the Ordinary Rate of Pay.
(b) The Ordinary Rate of Pay includes payment for all disability payments; allowances and penalties that may otherwise apply other than the allowances prescribed in Clause 4.6.
(c) The Ordinary Rate of Pay on commencement will apply from the first full pay period following lodgement of the Agreement. This will increase by 3.15% on the anniversary of lodgement of the Agreement for the Term of the Agreement.
(d) The Ordinary Rate of Pay is used with the appropriate penalties contained herein to calculate overtime, Saturday, Sunday, Public Holidays and shift work payments.
Ordinary Rate of Pay. Ordinary Rate of Pay. (a) The ordinary rate of pay for an employee party to this Agreement shall be as set out in the classification structure below: (b) WATER CART OPERATOR $1.50 ROADTRAIN / DOUBLE – TRIPLE: GRADER OPERATOR & FLOAT OPERATOR $2.00 QUAD CONCESSIONAL SELF LOAD / ALLROUNDER $3.50 PLANT OPERATOR & ROM LOADER OPERATOR– SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF PROBATION $1.50 (c) The service allowance for an employee party to this agreement will be calculated at $0.25 cents per hour per year of service to a maximum of 4 years of service or 1.00 per hour.

Ordinary Rate of Pay. 2.1 The Ordinary Rate of Pay for an Employee with less than 12 months continuous employment with the Company, is the Employee’s average earnings calculated on a pro rata basis from the date of commencement of employment and, for an employee with more than 12 months continuous service, the average over the immediate preceding 12 months. Provided that, the Ordinary Rate of Pay will not be less than the Australian Pay and Classification minimum rate of pay as established by the Australian Fair Pay Commission pursuant to the Act, as varied from time to time.
2.2 The Ordinary Rate of Pay is exclusive of compulsory superannuation, but may include any additional salary sacrifice as determined between the Company and an Employee.
Ordinary Rate of Pay. 6.1. The pay rates are set out in Attachment A and reflect the current rates of pay as at the date this Agreement is made, applicable from 1 September 2021 . These rates also reflect the increases detailed in Clause 14, Wages and Salaries of this Agreement for the increases applicable from 1 September 2022 and 1 September 2023.
6.2. The rates of pay in this Appendix incorporate the Ausgrid Allowance at Clause 14.2 of this Agreement.
Ordinary Rate of Pay. 6.1. The pay scales are set out in Attachment A and reflect the current rates of pay as at the date this Agreement is made, applicable from 1 December 2018. These rates will be updated for the rate increases detailed in Clause 14, Wages and Salaries of this Agreement for the increases applicable 1 and 2 years after the date this Agreement is made.
6.2. On and from 1 December 2018 and subject to Clause 6.4 of this Appendix, the Previously Applicable All-Purpose Allowances noted in Clause 3.12 of this Appendix no longer apply to employees covered by this Appendix 4.
6.3. The rates of pay set out in this Appendix fully incorporate recognition of the capabilities and experience for which the following Previously Applicable All-Purpose Allowances were payable:
6.3.1. Qualified Supervisor Plumbing Draining and Gasfitting allowance;
6.3.2. Electrical Safety Rules allowance; and
6.3.3. National Professional Engineering Registration 1.
6.4. The rates of pay set out in this Appendix partially incorporate recognition of the capabilities and experience for which the following Previously Applicable All-Purpose Allowances were payable:
6.4.1. The Qualified Supervisor Electrical Work allowance; and
6.4.2. National Professional Engineering Registration 2. These allowances are replaced with the Qualified Electrical Supervisor & Chartered or Registered Engineer Allowance set out in Clause 7 of this Appendix.
6.5. The rates of pay in this Appendix incorporate the Ausgrid Allowance at Clause 14.2 of this Agreement.
