Share a common residence means that two (2) people share the same place. It is not necessary that the legal right to possess the common residence be in both of their names. The Employer may also require a similar statement from a medical practitioner if the Employer has reason to believe the employee is not able to work or has been exposed to a contagious disease which endangers the health of other persons. Sick leave hours shall not be used during the pay period in which the hours are accrued. Sick leave accruals earned while on paid leave may be used by the employee with the approval of the supervisor without returning to work prior to the usage of accrued sick leave. Once sick leave is exhausted, vacation credits may be used at the employee’s discretion or, at the discretion of the Employer or its designee, leave without pay may be used.
