TEACHER RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. A. Teachers shall have freedom in the implementation of the adopted curriculum, including the right to select materials and engage in classroom discussions as they relate to the subject matter being taught and the level of the student. The administrator has the right and obligation to question, consult, and direct whenever necessary.
TEACHER RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. A. The Association and the teachers recognize that the basic duty of each teacher is to use his/her skill and expertise in the most effective and proper manner to improve the quality of the educational process in the Lapeer Schools.

Nothing contained herein shall be construed to deny or restrict to any teacher rights he/she may have under the Michigan General School Laws or other applicable laws and regulations. The rights granted to teachers hereunder shall be deemed to be in addition to those provided elsewhere.

The Board agrees that the administration will give all necessary assistance to teachers with respect to the maintenance of control and discipline in the classroom. Teachers agree to help supervise students throughout the school building and during assemblies and special programs.

TEACHER RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. A. The Board recognizes that teachers shall have the right to be represented by the Wakulla Classroom Teachers Association and the right to refrain from being represented.

TEACHER RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. (A) Teachers will not be required to perform any duty or act which threatens anyone's physical safety or well-being.
TEACHER RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. 3.9.1 Any member of the bargaining unit who is being reprimanded in writing or disciplined for any reason shall be entitled to have a representative of the Association in attendance at any conference scheduled for the above reason. If the delay in securing Association representation would not be in the immediate best interests of the school district, its pupils, and/or employees, the reprimand and/or discipline may be imposed without representation to the extent necessary to meet these immediate best interests.
TEACHER RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. A. NONDISCRIMINATION The Board and the Association agree that neither party shall discriminate against each other or against any teacher on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, age, sexual orientation or religion as applied to the terms of this Contract.
