Video Rights definition

Video Rights means the exclusive right to design, manufacture, produce, distribute, license, sub-license, lease, rent, exhibit, promote, market, advertise, publicize and in all manner and form exploit the Picture(s) and all elements thereof, and to authorize others to do all of the foregoing, by means of and in connection with “Videograms,” which for purposes hereof includes without limitation videocassettes, videodiscs, videotapes, DVDs, High-Definition DVDs, Blu-ray discs, Universal Media Discs, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM and all other hard carrier devices now known or hereafter devised and designed to be used in conjunction with a personal reproduction, player or viewing apparatus which causes a visual image (whether or not synchronized with sound) to be seen on a screen, display or device, e.g., a Television Media receiver, computer display, hand-held device or any other screen, display or device now known or hereafter devised, which Videograms also include menus, other navigational designs and elements and such other materials (e.g., “bonus” materials) as Licensee determines in its sole discretion. Home Video Rights shall include the exclusive rights (i) to distribute the Picture(s) through standard retail channels by means of download to any tangible or hard carrier Videogram storage device using any and all forms of digital or electronic transmission to the retailer; (ii) to distribute Videograms through Internet-based retailers (e.g., Xxxxxx.xxx and Xxxxxxx.xxx); (iii) to perform and exhibit (via downloading or streaming) short clips of the Videograms for purposes of marketing and selling hard-carrier devices; (iv) in conjunction with the sale of a Videogram unit to authorize digital copy(ies) thereof; and (v) to use Videograms of the Picture(s) or any portions or excerpts or abridged versions thereof to in-pack or on-pack or as premiums to be sold together with other products or items, as long as the Picture(s) is accounted for on an appropriate and pro-rata basis if bundled with other Picture(s).
Video Rights the right to exploit audiovisual recordings of the Programme by whatsoever means now or hereafter known, intended solely for private use by the public including both DVD (which shall include future formats for physical products) and DTO rights;
Video Rights means the distribution of video cassettes through all mass merchants and related "rack jobbers", all retail chains and outlets, all direct marketing and catalog sales, premium sales, as well as any wholesale or retain accounts within the licensed territories not covered by the above descriptions. Licensor will retain the rights to all electronic media (i.e. JQVC, HSN, etc.), all direct print (i.e. NSI, Publishers Clearing House, etc.), all TV and direct response advertising. TERM: 3 years, commencing August 1, 1998 and terminating July 31, 2001 for all programs. If Fast Forward Marketing accounts have not purchased Licensor product within 18 months, Licensor has the right to sell those accounts direct.

  • The Video Rights especially include all audio-visual systems and all storage devices, irrespective of the technical set-up of the individual system, as for example cine-films, cine-film cassettes, video cassettes, video tapes, video plates, discs, chips, etc.

  • If any Video Rights are licensed the statements will also include: (i) all Videograms manufactured, sold, rented, leased, returned, erased, recycled or destroyed; (ii) the wholesale and retail selling prices of all Videograms; and (iii) all allowable deductions taken.

  • LGF shall control the release dates of the Picture by means of the Home Video Rights as well as all television exhibition in Mexico (in the English and Spanish languages); provided that Grantor’s distributor of the Picture in Mexico (in the English and Spanish languages) shall be entitled to release the Picture day and date with LGF’s initial commercial release of the Picture in like media in the Territory.

Video Rights means and includes the right to manufacture, advertise, promote, distribute, reproduce, and otherwise exploit by any basis (including, without limitation, by sale, rental or subscription), whether directly or through licensees, retailers, agents or sublicensees, in all languages, versions, and sizes, utilizing any media (including, without limitation, interactive media and multi-media), on all forms, formats of video devices, and resolutions now known or hereafter known or devised, including, without limitation, all Videogram, Electronic Sell-Through, and Video-On-Demand, delivered by any and all Transmission Means (as all such terms are defined below). “Videogram” shall mean any and all video devices now known or hereafter known or devised, including, without limitation, any and all forms, formats and sizes of videocassette, cartridge, phonogram, tape, video disc, laser disc, 8mm recording, DVD (including, without limitation, standard, down-res and high definition (e.g., Blu Ray and HD DVD), DVD-ROM, internet access-ready DVD, CD-I and CD-ROM, Video Compact Disc, UMD or other game console or game device medium, memory stick, memory card, any and all forms of embedding, computer hard drive or microprocessor, including, without limitation, any of the foregoing created by a kiosk or interactive terminal capable of creating a copy of the Miniseries for consumer use, together with any other form or format of audio-visual recording or storage medium, now known or hereafter devised. “Electronic Sell Through” including, without limitation, so-called “digital sell-through”, “download-to-own”, “download-to-burn”, and “on-demand retention licensing” shall mean the embodiment of a program in any intangible or electronic form now known or hereafter devised (including, without limitation, as software or an electronic audio-visual file), which permits an unlimited number of viewings or unlimited retention by the viewer and which is delivered by any Transmission Means. “Video-on-Demand” including, without limitation, so-called “electronic rental”, “download-to-rent”, and “digital rental”, shall mean the exploitation on a rental, subscription or free basis (including ad-supported or as part of basic programming) for private viewing in any venue (including, without limitation, residences and hotels) which is delivered by any Transmission Means and which is either: (i) in a mode whereby the viewer may elect to start each exhibition at a time chosen by the viewer (including,...
Video Rights means the right to sell or rent copies of and exploit the Film by manufacturing and supplying Videograms to the public for "home" use (i.e. for exhibition to a normal circle of a family and its social acquaintances) or commercial use (i.e. for screening to audiences by organizations not primarily engaged in the business of exhibiting films to the public and whose objects are educational, social, cultural, religious, penal or charitable.
