Video Rights definition

Video Rights the right to exploit audiovisual recordings of the Programme by whatsoever means now or hereafter known, intended solely for private use by the public including both DVD (which shall include future formats for physical products) and DTO rights;
Video Rights means the distribution of video cassettes through all mass merchants and related "rack jobbers", all retail chains and outlets, all direct marketing and catalog sales, premium sales, as well as any wholesale or retain accounts within the licensed territories not covered by the above descriptions. Licensor will retain the rights to all electronic media (i.e. JQVC, HSN, etc.), all direct print (i.e. NSI, Publishers Clearing House, etc.), all TV and direct response advertising. TERM: 3 years, commencing August 1, 1998 and terminating July 31, 2001 for all programs. If Fast Forward Marketing accounts have not purchased Licensor product within 18 months, Licensor has the right to sell those accounts direct.
Video Rights and "Merchandising Rights" relating to the "Film", the "Property" and the "Trademark", identified more fully in Schedule A attached hereto; and

Examples of Video Rights in a sentence

  • The Video Rights especially include all audio-visual systems and all storage devices, irrespective of the technical set-up of the individual system, as for example cine-films, cine-film cassettes, video cassettes, video tapes, video plates, discs, chips, etc.

  • If any Video Rights are licensed the statements will also include: (i) all Videograms manufactured, sold, rented, leased, returned, erased, recycled or destroyed; (ii) the wholesale and retail selling prices of all Videograms; and (iii) all allowable deductions taken.

  • Unless otherwise notified by Licensor, all other Licensed Products shall be licensed in the same languages as are determined in respect of the Video Rights for that Program.

  • From the Gross Receipts derived from the exploitation of the Theatrical Film Rights the Non- Theatrical Film Rights and the Public Video Rights Distributor shall first be entitled to the Recoupable Distribution Costs.

  • LGF shall control the release dates of the Picture by means of the Home Video Rights as well as all television exhibition in Mexico (in the English and Spanish languages); provided that Grantor’s distributor of the Picture in Mexico (in the English and Spanish languages) shall be entitled to release the Picture day and date with LGF’s initial commercial release of the Picture in like media in the Territory.

  • When applicable, LGF shall also control the wholesale and suggested retail price of the distribution of the Picture by means of the Home Video Rights in Mexico (in the English and Spanish languages); provided that Grantor’s distributor of the Picture in Mexico (in the English and Spanish languages) shall be entitled to release the Picture by means of the Home Video Rights at the same price point as LGF’s release of the Picture in the Territory.

  • This means that Gross Receipts derived from the exploitation of any of the following Rights licensed must be calculated at the following levels: (i) for Home Video Rental, Home Video Sellthru, TVOD, SVOD, NVOD or EST Rights, at Wholesale Level or Direct Consumer Level as applicable; (ii) for Commercial Video or Public Video Rights, at the level at which payments are remitted by local exhibitors of the Program(s).

  • The formats for which Video Rights are granted hereunder are: DVD: PAL, DVD 5, 9 and 10, Region 2 (as such terms are commonly understood) DVDs and the language option(s) to be determined by Licensor.

  • The formats for which Video Rights are granted hereunder are all Videogram formats on Region 2 (NTSC) containing Japanese dubbed and/or subtitled versions of the Programs and any other language options determined by Licensor.

  • Notwithstanding the anything in the above to the contrary, the Term shall include an additional six (6) month exclusive sell-off period during which CPT may continue to exercise the Video Rights with respect to its then-available inventory.


More Definitions of Video Rights

Video Rights means the exclusive right to use or adapt, and to authorize others to use or adapt, the Literary Work or any portion thereof as the basis for one or more non-dramatic video recordings. Digest Rights
Video Rights means the right to manufacture, exhibit, distribute, market, display, transmit, reproduce, advertise, publicize, derive revenues from, dispose of, communicate publicly or privately, turn to account and otherwise exploit Videograms embodying the Programs whether directly or through licensees, retailers, agents, wholesalers or subdistributors, in all versions, sizes and resolutions, for the intended purpose of noncommercial viewing by consumers. For the avoidance of doubt, Video Rights includes exploiting the Programs by means of manufacturing-on-demand and in-store digital download.
Video Rights means and includes the right to manufacture, advertise, promote, distribute, reproduce, and otherwise exploit by any basis (including, without limitation, by sale, rental or subscription), whether directly or through licensees, retailers, agents or sublicensees, in all languages, versions, and sizes, utilizing any media (including, without limitation, interactive media and multi-media), on all forms, formats of video devices, and resolutions now known or hereafter known or devised, including, without limitation, all Videogram, Electronic Sell-Through, and Video-On-Demand, delivered by any and all Transmission Means (as all such terms are defined below). “Videogram” shall mean any and all video devices now known or hereafter known or devised, including, without limitation, any and all forms, formats and sizes of videocassette, cartridge, phonogram, tape, video disc, laser disc, 8mm recording, DVD (including, without limitation, standard, down-res and high definition (e.g., Blu Ray and HD DVD), DVD-ROM, internet access-ready DVD, CD-I and CD-ROM, Video Compact Disc, UMD or other game console or game device medium, memory stick, memory card, any and all forms of embedding, computer hard drive or microprocessor, including, without limitation, any of the foregoing created by a kiosk or interactive terminal capable of creating a copy of the Miniseries for consumer use, together with any other form or format of audio-visual recording or storage medium, now known or hereafter devised. “Electronic Sell Through” including, without limitation, so-called “digital sell-through”, “download-to-own”, “download-to-burn”, and “on-demand retention licensing” shall mean the embodiment of a program in any intangible or electronic form now known or hereafter devised (including, without limitation, as software or an electronic audio-visual file), which permits an unlimited number of viewings or unlimited retention by the viewer and which is delivered by any Transmission Means. “Video-on-Demand” including, without limitation, so-called “electronic rental”, “download-to-rent”, and “digital rental”, shall mean the exploitation on a rental, subscription or free basis (including ad-supported or as part of basic programming) for private viewing in any venue (including, without limitation, residences and hotels) which is delivered by any Transmission Means and which is either: (i) in a mode whereby the viewer may elect to start each exhibition at a time chosen by the viewer (including,...
Video Rights means the right to sell or rent copies of and exploit the Film by manufacturing and supplying Videograms to the public for "home" use (i.e. for exhibition to a normal circle of a family and its social acquaintances) or commercial use (i.e. for screening to audiences by organizations not primarily engaged in the business of exhibiting films to the public and whose objects are educational, social, cultural, religious, penal or charitable. DVD manufactured by Distributor or its sub-distributors must be formatted in DVD zone 2 only.

Related to Video Rights

  • Licensed Rights means the rights granted to You subject to the terms and conditions of this Public License, which are limited to all Copyright and Similar Rights that apply to Your use of the Licensed Material and that the Licensor has authority to license.

  • Licensed Content means those articles or other parts of a Licensed Title which form part of the content licensed in accordance with the Order (including all content published during the Subscription Period or other period specified in the Order to which access and use rights are granted under this Licence, and including all Previously Subscribed Material).

  • Media Rights means all rights to negotiate, broadcast, and disseminate radio, television, motion picture, internet, webcast, and videotape broadcasting, telecasting, production, exhibition, or other sound, or visual exploitation of the Championships, on a live and/or delayed basis, by any means whatsoever, whether now known or hereafter developed; or otherwise distribute and exploit the Championships and/or any portion thereof in any manner in all forms of such media.

  • Licensed IP Rights means, collectively, the Licensed Patent Rights and the Licensed Know-How Rights.

  • Video means simulated movement created by the display of a series of images creating the illusion of continuous movement.

  • Sui Generis Database Rights means rights other than copyright resulting from Directive 96/9/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 1996 on the legal protection of databases, as amended and/or succeeded, as well as other essentially equivalent rights anywhere in the world.

  • Licensed Intellectual Property Rights means all Intellectual Property Rights owned by a third party and licensed or sublicensed to either the Company or any of its Subsidiaries.

  • Licensed Marks means the Localized Game Marks and such other trademarks expressly authorized in writing by Shengqu to be used by the Licensees.

  • Internet Domain Names means all rights, title and interests (and all related IP Ancillary Rights) arising under any Requirement of Law in or relating to Internet domain names.

  • Software means computer programs, whether in source code or object code form (including any and all software implementation of algorithms, models and methodologies), databases and compilations (including any and all data and collections of data), and all documentation (including user manuals and training materials) related to the foregoing.

  • Ancillary Rights means, in each case with respect to the relevant Seller Receivable:

  • Channels means the standard definition (SD) channel(s)/ high definition (HD) channels, as the case maybe and more specifically listed out by the Broadcaster, along with their Nature, Maximum Retail Price (if any) and respective genre, in Annexure B annexed to this Agreement that are owned/operated by the Broadcaster (including its subsidiary company or holding company or subsidiary of the holding company) ;

  • Technology Rights means BOARD's rights in any technical information, know-how, processes, procedures, compositions, devices, methods, formulae, protocols, techniques, software, designs, drawings or data created by the inventor(s) listed in Exhibit I at UTMDACC before the EFFECTIVE DATE, which are not claimed in PATENT RIGHTS but that are necessary for practicing PATENT RIGHTS.

  • Exploitation means to make, have made, import, export, use, have used, sell, have sold, or offer for sale, including to Develop, Commercialize, register, modify, enhance, improve, Manufacture, have Manufactured, hold, or keep (whether for disposal or otherwise), or otherwise dispose of.

  • Games means games of chance.

  • Licensed Intellectual Property means Intellectual Property licensed to the Company pursuant to the Company IP Agreements.

  • Background Intellectual Property Rights means Intellectual Property Rights owned, controlled or furnished by either Party other than Foreground Intellectual Property Rights.

  • Business Intellectual Property Rights means (a) the Intellectual Property Rights owned or licensed by the Group Companies and (b) any other Intellectual Property Rights owned or licensed by Seller or any of its other Subsidiaries and used solely in the conduct of the Business.

  • Licensed Materials means any materials that Executive utilizes for the benefit of the Company (or any Subsidiary thereof), or delivers to the Company or the Company’s Customers, which (a) do not constitute Work Product, (b) are created by Executive or of which Executive is otherwise in lawful possession and (c) Executive may lawfully utilize for the benefit of, or distribute to, the Company or the Company’s Customers.
