Absence Before or After Holidays. (a) Any employee (other than casual) absent without leave on the working day immediately preceding a holiday or holidays, or on the working day immediately succeeding such holiday or holidays, shall forfeit wages for the days of absence including the holiday or holidays, except where such absence is due to illness of the employee or to other reasonable cause, proof whereof shall be upon the employee.

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.
