ACCEPTANCE OF CARD. 2.1 The Card is issued by the Bank to the Cardmember based on the Shariah concept of Ujrah. The Services, benefits and privileges under this Card shall be determined by the Bank. The Card delivered herewith by the Bank must be signed by the Cardmember immediately upon receipt thereof.
2.2 The Cardmember undertakes not to disclose the Personal Identification Number (PIN) allocated by the Bank to him/her upon the issuance of the Card to any person, failing which the Cardmember shall be liable to the Bank for any debit entry in his/ her Card Account with the Bank arising from an unauthorised transaction.
2.3 In the event that the Cardmember does not wish to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, the Cardmember shall immediately return the Card to the Bank cut in half with written notice that he/she is returning the Card for cancellation provided always that the Cardmember shall continue to be bound by and be liable under the Terms and Conditions of this Agreement until the Principal and Supplementary Card are received by the Bank and duly cancelled. Notwithstanding the cancellation of the Card, the Cardmember shall also continue to be liable for all obligations incurred prior to such cancellation as well as for any and all antecedent breaches of this Agreement.
2.4 The Cardmember further agrees that the duration for the Services under this Agreement shall be a period determined by the Bank. The Bank may extend the duration from year to year or for any other period as the Bank deems fit. If the services are not extended by the Bank, then the services and this Agreement up to the expiry and/or termination date of the Card shall become fully payable. The services shall also be subject to periodic review at the discretion of the Bank and any amounts due under this Agreement shall be payable on demand.
2.5 In consideration of the Bank issuing the Principal Card to the Principal Cardmember and any Supplementary Card to any Supplementary Cardmember, the Cardmember agrees to abide and shall in the case of a Principal Cardmember, cause each and every Supplementary Cardmember to abide by the Terms and Conditions in this Agreement and such other Terms and Conditions, ammendments and/or additions as the Bank may, in its sole and absolute discretion, prescribed from time to time.
ACCEPTANCE OF CARD. 7.1 The Card will be honoured only when it carries the signature of the respective Primary or Supplementary Cardholder as applicable. A Card will normally be honoured by Merchant Establishments and Financial Institutions displaying the appropriate Card symbol (either Visa or MasterCard). The Bank is not responsible or liable for the refusal by any Merchant/ Financial institution to accept the Card for any reason whatsoever. Card promotional material or appropriate Card symbols (VISA or MasterCard) displayed on any premises is not a warranty that all goods and services available at those premises may be purchased with your Card.
7.2 The purchase of products such as Petrol, Diesel, and Gas etc, from Petrol Sheds or Stations is subject to applicable handling and service charges.
7.3 However, you may report to the Bank any merchant/ bank refusal, detailing the name of location, date and time of the transaction and other details that will assist the Bank in its investigation.
ACCEPTANCE OF CARD. 2.1 In consideration of RHB Bank issuing the Card to the Cardmember/Company, the Cardmember/Company agrees to abide by the terms and conditions in this Agreement.
2.2 The use of the Card is restricted to the Cardmember/Company to whom the Card is issued for use at designated Merchants, ATMs and banks and financial institutions authorised to accept VISA Cards as a mode of repayment. The Cardmember/Company agrees to sign on the back of the Card immediately upon receipt of the Card.
2.3 The Cardmember/Company must not transfer or part with the control or possession of the Card. The Cardmember/Company must also not use it for any purpose unauthorised by RHB Bank.
(a) To carry out ATM, chip and PIN-based transactions with the Card, RHB Bank will issue and deliver to the Cardmember/Company a PIN.
(b) The PIN is strictly confidential and should not be disclosed to any person in any manner.
(c) The Cardmember/Company is fully liable for all transactions carried out using the PIN and is to indemnify and keep RHB Bank fully indemnified against all losses, expenses or claims suffered by or brought against RHB Bank due to the Cardmemer/Company’s act, omission, default, negligence and/or misconduct.
2.5 The Cardmember/Company must comply with all the requirements, directions, instructions and guidelines for the use of the Card issued by RHB Bank to the Cardmember/Company upon the issuance of the Card or in accordance with Clause 12.1 from time to time.
(a) If the Cardmember/Company does not wish to be bound by this Agreement, the Cardmember/Company must either:
(i) call or write to RHB Customer Contact Centre to cancel the Card, in which case the Cardmember/Company must cut the Card in half across the magnetic stripe and chip ensuring it is completely damaged; or
(ii) visit any branch of RHB Bank to cancel and return the Card.
(b) Upon such cancellation, Clauses 10.4 and 10.5 apply. The Cardmember/Company continues to be bound by and be liable under this Agreement until the Card is cancelled.
(c) Although the Card has been cancelled, the Cardmember/Company continues to be liable for all obligations and all breaches of this Agreement existing prior to such cancellation.
ACCEPTANCE OF CARD. 2.1 The Card issued and delivered herewith by the Bank must be signed by the Cardmember immediately upon receipt thereof.
2.2 The Cardmember undertakes not to disclose the Personal Identification Number (PIN) allocated by the Bank to him/her upon the issuance of the Card to any person, failing which the Cardmember shall be liable to the Bank for any debit entry in his/her Card Account with the Bank arising from an unauthorised transaction.
2.3 In the event that the Cardmember does not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions, the Cardmember shall immediately return the Card to the Bank cut in halves.
ACCEPTANCE OF CARD. 2.1 The use of the Card is restricted to the Cardmember to whom the Card is issued and who shall sign the Card immediately upon receipt and who shall thereafter activate the use of the Card by determining his own PIN. Such signature and/or use of the Card shall constitute a binding and conclusive evidence that the Cardmember agrees and shall be bound by this Agreement.
2.2 This Agreement shall be deemed to be a contract made under the laws of Malaysia and shall for all purposes be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. The Cardmember hereby agrees to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia or the courts of such other competent jurisdiction as the Bank may in its sole discretion elect.
2.3 The Cardmember undertakes not to disclose the PIN to any other person and shall be liable to the Bank for any debit entry in his Card Account with the Bank arising from any unauthorised transactions.
2.4 The Principal Xxxxxxxxxx accepts responsibility for credit extended either to him or to the Supplementary Cardmember as the person authorised by him to use the Supplementary Card issued at his request, whether such credit is in the form of cash advanced and/or for the purchase of goods and/or services.
2.5 In the event that the Cardmember does not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions, the Cardmember shall immediately return the Card to the Bank cut in half or shall notify the Bank in writing and destroy/remove the chip in the Card. The Cardmember shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and be bound by the same in the event the Bank does not receive the Card cut in half or the written notification as aforesaid.
ACCEPTANCE OF CARD. 3.1 Subject to clause 3.2, the Merchant shall promptly accept without discrimination any Card presented by its customers for payment of the Merchant’s merchandise or services.
3.2 The Merchant shall only accept a Card for payment after it has confirmed all of the following (if applicable):- • The Card has not been defaced, tampered with or altered in any manner or is not reasonably suspected of being a counterfeit; • The Card has not expired (if there is an expiry date printed on the card face); • In respect of a Credit Card, it bears the corresponding hologram and the same has not been damaged or blurred; • In respect of a Credit Card, the first four digits of the card number embossed on the card face are the same as the four-digit number printed immediately above or below • in respect of a Card, it bears the specimen signature of its cardholder at the back and the same has not or is not reasonably suspected of having been tampered with or altered in any manner • In respect of a Card, if a colour photo Card is presented, the identity of the Cardholder (including name, gender and appearance etc.) shall match with the photo appearing on the Card • The Terminal shows that the Card is valid, has not expired or been cancelled; • The Terminal displays a card number which is the same as the card number embossed on the card face (in case of discrepancies in respect of a Card, the Merchant shall report to the Company immediately); • in respect of a Card, the signature of the customer on the sale slip is the same as the specimen signature at the back of the Credit Card • In respect of a Card, its card number and/or its account number is not listed on any current warning, card recovery, hot card, stop or similar list or notice supplied to the Merchant by the Company from time to time • In respect of a Debit Card, the Card presented shall be one that has been agreed by the parties to be applicable for use in the System as set out in this Agreement, or has been expressly authorized for such use by the Company under this Agreement; • Authorisation shall only be obtained by the Cardholder inputting a password through the Terminal, and may not be obtained by manual authorisation or the use of an imprinting machine; • Such other instructions from time to time published by the Company have been fulfilled or otherwise complied with
3.3 The Merchant shall not accept the following Cards for use in the System: • Cards not approved by the Company. • A Credit Card with an anti-c...
