Accumulative Sick Days. At the beginning of each contract year, a full-time employee shall be credited with twelve (12) days sick leave allowance. Part-time custodians, matrons and van drivers shall be credited with three (3) days sick leave allowance. The unused portion of such allowance shall accumulate from year to year. Accumulated sick leave may be used without limitation in any given year or years. An employee will be credited with all sick leave accumulated and not used prior to this contract agreement.

Accumulative Sick Days. At the beginning of each contract year, a full-time employee shall be credited with twelve (12) days sick leave allowance. Accumulated sick leave may be used without limitation in any given year or years. An employee will be credited with all sick leave accumulated and not used prior to this contract agreement. The value of a sick day shall be equal to the employee’s scheduled workday on a one-to-one exchange. For example, if the employee’s workday is eight (8) hours, the employee surrenders one sick day. Likewise, should an employee elect the voluntary ten (10) hour workday during the summer, the employee surrenders one sick day. Sick days less than the scheduled workday shall be deducted by proration.

  • Cumulative Sick Leave 16.1 Employees covered by this collective agreement will carry forward their accumulated sick leave days from the predecessor school boards to a maximum of 280 days. Article VI: Activity Ticket Each teacher of U.S.D. 506 shall be issued an activity ticket, which shall be honored at all regular school functions held within the district. Said ticket shall not be honored at basketball tournaments and special events. Said ticket shall be honored for employee, spouse, and children who have not yet graduated from high school. The Board of Education will have an expectation that those teachers in attendance at school functions will assume a reasonable amount of general supervision as needed.
