Various approaches are used in the existing AEWA Action and Management Plans to determine the geographic scope and the Principal Range States which carry the major responsibility for the implementation of the respective plans. Principal Range States are the countries that will be invited to participate in inter-governmental AEWA International Species Working Groups to coordinate implementation following the adoption of Management Plans and will also be requested to report specifically on progress made on Management Plan implementation.
