Bereavement. Leave with pay of up to five days per occurrence in accordance with University Policy will be granted to an employee for the purpose of attending a funeral or memorial service for a deceased member of the employee's immediate family, immediate household, or a deceased relative. Bereavement leave may only be used during the term of an employee's contract. Bereavement leave may not be accrued. Upon approval of the Xxxxxxx, an employee may use accrued sick leave for bereavement leave requirements in excess of five days.
