Bomb Threats. In the event of a bomb threat, the worksite shall be evacuated until persons with appropriate expertise deem it to be safe. Employees shall not return to schools or other employment centers which have been evacuated due to bomb threats until clearance for such returns has been given by proper authorities. Bomb Threats. In the event that a building(s) is evacuated because of a bomb threat, all teachers will be evacuated from the building until the building has been cleared by appropriate personnel. The administration may ask individual teachers to help in any building search, but it is expressly agreed that no teacher shall be required to participate in any building search, and further, that any teacher may decline to participate in the building search without penalty or recrimination.
Bomb Threats. It is a felony to give false information concerning the placement of a bomb in a school building. School officials, the SRO and fire and safety officials shall cooperate in the implementation of procedures in the event of a bomb threat. In all cases, the principal shall report such incidents to the Superintendent of Schools and to the SRO. In the absence of physical evidence, it is the school principal's or the Superintendent of Schools’ decision to evacuate the school.
