Building Chairperson Responsibilities Related to Student Discipline. Effective with the first day of the second semester of the 2000-01 school year, the Building Chairperson may mediate disputes between the administration and individual teachers when student discipline is an issue. The Building Chairperson shall encourage constructive dialogue between the administration and the teacher when discipline issues seem to be impeding the educational process in the class- room. If the administration believes discipline issues are a concern with the Building Chairperson him/herself, the appropriate Regional Superintendent and CTU Third Vice President shall mediate the dispute.
