Bus Washing. Drivers washing buses will be paid the regular hourly rate for time spent washing buses.

Bus Washing. During the regular school year, the District will offer two (2) one-hour daily Bus Washing assignments which shall be subject to the bidding procedures in Section F. of this Article 32. During summer recess, a member will be paid $225 for one (1) thorough washing of the interior and exterior of a school bus; $175 for one (1) thorough washing of the interior and exterior of a school minibus; and $125 for one (1) thorough washing of the interior and exterior of a school van.
Bus Washing. In the interest of safety, bus drivers must insure that windows and mirrors are clean, prior to starting each run, in order that adequate visibility may be maintained.
Bus Washing. A. Bus washing shall be scheduled by the Transportation Supervisor/designee, on an as needed basis. B. Each driver shall be paid for one (1) required bus washing per month (except June, July and August) at the bus driver’s regular hourly rate. Payments shall not exceed a maximum of one (1) hour per one (1) bus washing or two (2) van washings, except if the driver is directed to drive the bus to a location off-school property to have it washed, the driver will be paid for his/her actual time, with a minimum of one (1) hour. C. At the August Drivers Meeting, drivers who do not want to wash their bus during the upcoming school year need to provide written notice to the Transportation Supervisor. Likewise, drivers who are willing to wash other drivers’ buses need to submit written notification to the Transportation Supervisor. The Transportation Supervisor will conspicuously post the list of drivers who do not want to wash their buses and the list of drivers willing to wash other drivers’ buses. The Transportation Supervisor will then assign on a rotating basis the available buses to the drivers who expressed a willingness to wash extra buses. The employee doing the washing shall be paid at the bus driver’s regular hourly rate. Payments shall not exceed a maximum of one (1) hour per washing. D. Additional bus washings may be required as requested by the Transportation Supervisor. Pay for the additional washings requested will be at the bus driver’s regular hourly rate. Payments shall not exceed a maximum of one (1) hour per washing.
Bus Washing. Any Bus Driver or Chauffeur who wishes to participate in bus washing to prepare the bus fleet for summer bus inspections conducted by the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be required to sign up for this optional work. The individuals will be selected for this work based on seniority and will be paid at the current field trip rate of the school year when the work is assigned.
Bus Washing. Bus drivers will be allowed one hour every other week as deemed necessary by supervisor to wash their own bus at regular pay. If regular driver is unable to wash their own bus, said driver may offer their bus to another driver providing that driver does not go into overtime by washing bus. Both regular driver and driver who is willing to wash said bus must notify supervisor prior to washing bus.
Bus Washing. The Superintendent or his/her designee has the right to authorize drivers to wash any school bus or van. The Business Manager or his/her designee will authorize the frequency of washing. Drivers are entitled to wash the vehicle that they normally use. If a driver does not want to wash his/her vehicle, the washing will be posted and awarded according to a rotation based upon seniority. The pay for bus washing is one (1) hour at field trip rate for each school bus washed. The washing of vans is paid at one-half (1/2) hour at field trip rate for each van washed and all buses with more than twelve (12) rows of seats will receive one and one-half (1 1/2) hours of pay at field trip rate.

Bus Washing. Drivers will not be required to perform weekly washes on school buses. However, it will remain the responsibility of the assigned driver to notify the designated bus washer that a vehicle wash is required. It shall also remain the responsibility of the driver to assure that vehicle is maintained in a safe operating condition at all times. If a driver is directed to wash a bus, or does so with prior approval of management, the driver will be paid for the bus wash. All items must be maintained as to allow for safe operation of the vehicle in accordance with state law. Safety items are as follows: alternating red lights, turn signals, headlights, front and rear windows, mirrors, entrance door, clearance lights, and rear emergency exit windows.
Bus Washing. School bus and van washing will be reimbursed at the rate of Ten Dollars ($10.00) per vehicle. Washing of a vehicle for reimbursement must be approved in advance by the Transportation Supervisor on the form provided. The Board reserves the right to have buses washed in a private vehicle washing facility when no member of the bargaining unit desires the work. Upon installation of bus washing system, bus-washing reimbursement will only be granted if the automatic bus washing system is broken and/or with prior approval from the Transportation Supervisor’s prior approval.
Bus Washing. Bus Drivers shall be required to wash their bus once every month, September through May.
