CANCELED LEAVE. A. Career and city carrier assistant letter carrier requests for cancellation of scheduled leave shall be submitted, in writing, to the immediate Supervisor no later than 12:00 noon Friday before the posting of the weekly work schedule. Requests submitted within these limits shall be granted. All canceled leave shall be posted immediately for bid in the section affected until 10:00 a.m. the following Tuesday and awarded to the senior bidder at the end of the posting day.

CANCELED LEAVE. A. All letter carrier requests for cancellation of all canceled leave period(s) shall be posted immediately for bid in the section affected until 10:00 a.m., the following Tuesday and awarded to the senior bidder at the end of the posting day. Letter carrier will be permitted to bid on any number of days of the canceled leave period(s).

  • Paid Leave (a) An employee who is a volunteer member of the Defence Force Reserves or the Cadet Force is entitled to paid leave of absence for Defence service, subject to the conditions set out hereunder.

  • Union Leave of Absence An employee on an unpaid Union leave of absence shall have her wages, benefits and seniority continued by the Employer, and the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for the costs of such wages and benefits. Employees requesting leave under this article will provide the Employer with as much advance notice as possible of the dates of the leave. Where there are less than fifteen (15) regular employees at a workstation at the time the leave request is submitted, and subject to operational requirements, unpaid Union leave of absence will be granted to one employee for the purpose of conducting Union business. This would be an additional person on Union leave at worksites where the position of the Union President or Council member has been backfilled for the duration of their term of office.
