Card Payments. If you use your Card as a Payment Method, your Card issuer may show a pending authorization for a period of time until they release the hold or receive a completed transaction. In addition, Card payments are subject additional rules and regulations, including from the card network and your issuing bank.

Card Payments a) You may use your card and PIN to obtain cash (up to the daily limit on your account as advised by us from time to time and to the extent that you have funds available in your account) b) If you use your card to withdraw cash, we will take the amount withdrawn from your account on the Working Day we receive details of the withdrawal. c) Each withdrawal of cash will incur a flat fee that will be debited from your account. d) You should not use the card if to do so would overdraw your account without our prior agreement, or would increase any borrowing on the account to more than we have agreed. If you are uncertain of your balance, we recommend that you contact your branch to check your balance before making a withdrawal as the persistent breaching of limits may result in our cancelling the card. e) On each Working Day, any available funds on your account will be used to pay any transaction notified to us since the previous business day before they may be used to pay any other debit to your account. f) We will normally deduct cash withdrawals made over our counter from your account on the same Working Day.

(b) If you use your card for a cash withdrawal or to make a payment (in a currency different to that in which the account is denominated), we will convert the amount withdrawn, or paid, into the currency in which the account is denominated on the day it is processed by the international payment organisation (for example, Visa or masterCard) whose name or marks appear on the card. The exchange rate we use is the rate set by the international payment organisation and a percentage is added by us. This percentage and other charges that apply are set out in our banking charges guides and may be amended from time to time. you can find out the current exchange rate at any time during normal business hours by calling us on the number set out in the contact details contained in appendix 2 of this document, or at any time by visiting our Website. (c) However, if you use your card to withdraw euro from a cash machine in the Uk, Channel Islands or Isle of man, you will be dealing with the bank operating the machine (rather than us) for the conversion into euro. That bank will set the exchange rate and may charge you for the conversion. (d) If you wish to cancel payments made on a regular basis from your card account, such as magazine subscriptions, you can tell us that you no longer consent to these payments being made. you can do this at any time before the end of the last working day before the next payment is due to be made. We will then stop the payments. We also advise that you contact the person you make the payment to so that they do not keep trying to take the payment. you will need to contact them if you want to cancel your agreement with them in any case, as we cannot do that for you. you will also need to tell anyone you make regular payments to if your account is closed or your card number changes, otherwise they may not be able to collect your payments. (e) If a retailer agrees to give a refund for a purchase made using a card payment, we will make the refund when we receive details of it from the retailer.
Card Payments. 5.1. Only the Cardholder has the right to perform Payment Transaction with the Card. 5.2. Payment Transaction may be performed by the Cardholder: 5.2.1. immediately after a virtual Card is issued; 5.2.2. only after a physical Card in accordance with the received instructions has been activated. 5.3. The Cardholder may perform Payment Transaction only within the amount located on the Account and in accordance with the Card usage limits (daily, weekly, monthly maximum amount for Payment Transactions) indicated in the Agreement. Card Issuer reserves the right to determine Card usage limits. 5.4. Card Issuer assumes that all Payment Transactions are consented to, authorised and initiated by the Cardholder, unless proven otherwise. 5.5. The use of the Card or Means of Authentication to initiate a Payment Transaction shall be considered as an authorisation and consent to carry out the Payment Transaction. Unless established differently for the protection of consumer rights, if the Cardholder provides consent to perform a Payment Transaction, the Cardholder is not entitled for a refund unless the Payee agrees to refund the transferred amount to the Cardholder. 5.6. Payment transactions initiated using the Card will be executed in the Account according to the Agreement and General Terms and Conditions, its integral parts and the applicable law. 5.7. Payment Transaction performed by the Cardholder using the Card may be declined if: 5.7.1. the Card is invalid or blocked (in accordance with Section 7); 5.7.2. Card Issuer has closed, suspended or restricted the use of the Client’s Account; 5.7.3. the amount of Funds needed to perform the Payment Transaction exceeds the available amount of Funds on the Client’s Account; 5.7.4. any other basis which arises from the Agreement or legal acts or the Client is suspected of fraud/illegal activities. 5.8. Card Issuer reserves the right to use third-parties provided services in order to ensure the execution of Payment Transaction or any other services. 5.9. At the request of the Partner and/or Card Issuer, the service provider (e.g. e-shops) may refuse to accept payment with the Card. 5.10. The Client and/or the Cardholder has the right to request that the Card be blocked and/or closed at any time. 5.11. A blocked, closed, or invalid Card may not be used. 5.12. Card Payments. 12.1 The Company acts as an intermediary between the Card Payment Recipient and the Bank, acquires information supplied from the Card Payment Recipient and the Bank and the System processes transactions in good faith. 12.2 The Company does not guarantee the correctness of information acquired or supplied and can in no way be held liable by the Card Payment Recipient for any damages suffered by the Card Payment Recipient acting upon such information. 12.3 Any dispute between the Bank and the Card Payment Recipient howsoever arising, which includes, but is not limited to, a dispute regarding: a) the value of reversals of invalid sales (“charge backs”); b) any discount; c) any refund due to a cardholder; d) any overpayment; e) the value of any transaction; f) the debiting of any Card Payment Recipient’s account; is deemed to be a dispute between the Bank and the Card Payment Recipient and the Company is not a party thereto. 12.4 The Company will in no way be held liable by the Card Payment Recipient for any damages suffered by such Card Payment Recipient pursuant to such dispute. 12.5 Notwithstanding the above, the Card Payment Recipient will be liable to the Company for any act or omission of the Card Payment Recipient, or its employees, agents or representatives; 12.6 Any dispute, unless resolved amongst the Party’s, will be resolved in accordance with the provisions of Clause 18 of these Terms & Conditions. 12.7 The Company is not authorised to hold funds on behalf of customers or merchants and has appointed a duly authorised and licensed financial services provider to act as independent custodian of customer’s funds as required by law. 12.8 All funds held in the Value Store are at all times protected against internal theft, mismanagement and/or fraud under a fidelity guarantee insurance policy. 12.9 The Company is entitled to appoint any company approved by the Financial Market Conduct Authority, which company is duly authorised to receive and/or hold assets in trust in the name of the Merchant.

We will attempt to take payment for your renewed policy from your card nine days prior to the expiry date of your current policy, and we will always notify you before a new policy starts. Where you originally purchased insurance by direct debit payments, Premium Credit Limited (the payment provider that finances your credit agreement for your insurance) will set up the direct debit agreement for your renewed policy five days prior to the expiry date of your current policy. They will attempt to take the first payment on the start date of the renewed policy.
